I did that once during a Boxing Day match, only mine was full of Whisky. I floated out of the stadium at FT. Can't remember who we played, let alone who won. Not 100% sure I was watching Saints..! Can't remember how I got home. I didn't get as bad as watching 44 players though. I have my limits. Besides, I'd run out.

Can't beat a £6 twix, tastes much better than the 75p version.

Can't beat a hot drink at half time in February. It doesn't hurt to stretch one's legs either, as I'm not one of those who insists on standing during the game which is FAR more annoying than someone brushing past you for a couple of seconds.

I just want to add to that that if its confined to one area where everyone is in favour of standing so beit. But on away days I don't get that choice. So, I'm knackered and my wife can't see!

You've only just discovered this? I do it at home too as it saves on the coal.

I had sandwiches at the Ricoh once, but I think that was probably because of it being the Olympics rather than the Ricoh just being a progressive forward-thinking stadium. Unfortunately it seems the Subway in Gunwharf Quays is no longer doing a 6 inch sub and drink for £3 (at least not on match days)

Only time I've ever had stadium food recently was a portion of chips at Eastleigh as my hands were half frozen and I needed something to warm them up.

Some of you should stop being such snobs. Too good for a cheese burger at half time? I bet you only eat organic produce from Waitrose.

Anyway I just read the email regards the improved food. Looks like there will be hot dog sellers in the actual bowl, like an American baseball game. "hot dawgs, hot dawgs, get your hot dawgs!".

Nowt wrong with a good cheeseburger. Trouble is, all the "meat-based" fast food served at sporting/music events are really crap quality, at the price of something from Waitrose's organic range. I wouldn't mind paying for decent grub, but it sticks in my craw (sometimes literally) when paying top dollar for economy horse/donkey meat mixed with sawdust.

    Or sausage in a bun.

Anyway, it's not snobbery, it's just the fact that I don't generally eat big meals in the afternoon. I'd more likely to eat a burger for an evening game.

Plus, getting salmonella after going to Highbury didn't help

Pie and Chips at Hartlepool £3 or as I had £3.50p with gravy made a February evening more interesting...

I'd enjoy chips as an option. Only thing I'd fancy as it is between meals, but chips would soak up a glass of wine nicely.
