Still never quite got, how out of a whole day leading up to and after a match, some people seem utterly unable to eat either side of a 90 minute game. There is better food on offer outside the stadium (not talking about the vans outside the ground) and much cheaper too. Plus you are not queuing up for it with thousands of others in a small window of opportunity.

I really don't enjoy someone ****ing off to the concourse 10 mins before half time, getting in my way in the process... then coming back 10 mins after half time with a half eaten microwaved hot dog stinking of industrial waste mustard, which they wave in your face as they stumble to their seat.

WHEN I run football, food & drink will be banned from all stadiums. You have been warned.

Well said. :)

This has always puzzled me, especially for 3pm Saturday kick offs which sit nicely in-between the traditional eating times of lunch and dinner. Being very judgemental, most I see masticating at the stadium could do with a break from eating

I have to confess that there is one time that I do partake of something at halftime but I don't leave my seat.
Traditionally, on the Boxing Day or New Years games at St Marys.
The stewards check my bag and see the thermos flask.
They have no idea that it's full of Mulled Wine <bandit>

Oh CBK you are so right.
If I have to sit next to that ****head who manages to spray gallons of ketchup over me while moaning about half the Saints team again I'll swing I'll tell you.
He is also guaranteed to elbow me at the most critical pouring of my thermos, laughing gaily at the dampness of my crotch.
Tried different stands but I swear the bugger follows me around.

People who don't buy food from southampton concourse should get ebola imho

What's your real name :)

The very lovely Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov will make my cheese sandwiches and her marmite sandwiches as usual and we shall take a flask of Bovril as always this season come rain or come shine. Why change the habit of a life time?

I suspect the average punter wants junk food. The type who wants sandwiches would generally bring them themselves. I'm actually on your side, Pomps. I would love something light and healthy, but I realise that I am in the minority so don't expect to eat at a match.

I piss in my seat, I don't want to move or people will moan. It warms me up on cold nights.

For me it is olives, tomatoes, a nice French baguette, red wine, some decent cheese from the farmer's market in Fareham, garlic prawns. No wonder I sit on my own!! Perhaps Godders could join me as I believe he has a Gallic taste when it comes to food!!!

Many years ago I was watched Athletico Madrid on a cold February evening. In this stadium pizza was on offer throughout the match and the hawkers came to the seats to sell their produce. Needless to say the food was more enjoyable than the football on offer on that particular night!!!
