Totally agree with this. Ghurka or Sikh for me. Both totally hard and from warrior cultures. Sikh's made up 20% of the British Army in WW1 and something similar in WW2. The Victoria Crosses awarded to Sikh's are proportionally higher than for any other nationality in the British Forces.
Failing that i'd say a Fijian. A friend of mine was in the SAS and served with Fijians in Borneo. He said they were the hardest bastards he'd ever met. If you have ever seen the documentary on the SAS Fort Siege in Oman during the 70's you will know what I mean. The two Fijian's in that unit were immense.
Thats probably the first fight i remember watching when i was a kid,what a fight .

Captain Mike Kealy was in command in that fight. Yeah Mayne started the SAS. What the hell has that got to do with anything.

Sterling created the SAS with the help of Paddy Mayne you dim ****.I'm Irish and I know that you thick ****.
Ok just checked. David Stirling (note the spelling) started it, Mayne took over when he was killed. I didn't claim to be an expert on the SAS.
Please point out to me where I claimed to know who had started it in my original post. I only mentioned the SAS in passing and it wasn't central to my reasoning in any case. What is your obsession with the SAS and how does it help decide who the best fighters are?
Sir David Stirling was the founder of the SAS. Regardless of that fact why would it even matter if a paddy founded it anyway? I can't imagine any Irishmen have anything at all to do with them today.
