Del Boy
Fletcher (Porridge)
Black Adder / Phoenix Nights - Rowan Atkinson / Peter Kaye.
Can watch these series numerous times without ever getting bored.
I certainly had Fletcher up there, porridge is probably the most underrated comedy. The other one I might have added was Humphrey from yes minister
As far as sit-com characters are concerned, leaving aside those already mentioned, I have an enduring love for:
(1) Terry & Bob in Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads?;
(2) Steptoe & Son;
(3) The entire cast of Dad’s Army, possibly the finest ensemble cast in a sit-com (although Only Fools... evolved beautifully into the same);
(4) Frank Spencer;
(5) Paul Kaye’s Bob Slay in Perfect World (short-lived but very funny);
(6) Rik’s Alan B’Stard; and
(7) Man About The House.
I’m showing my age.
Different style obviously (and certainly not to everyone's tastes) but always thought the casts of the Good Life and Ever Decreasing Circles were rather inspired.
