I thought he was doing a "Van Nistlerooy" and being in retirement for the qualifiers then coming back for the finals, if they make it?
 
Considering that they've not really got any other players, he pretty much ****ed any chance of that happening, YV! <laugh>
The most experienced international in their last squad was ex-Man City striker Valeri Bojinov, with 37 caps.
I think they're looking to build a team for the future.
 
Podolski made some noises about the possibility of joining Lazio a few days ago.
It might just be a negotiation tool, but it looks as though his transfer isn't sealed yet.
