Having not seen MOTD last night due to 'intoxication', just watching the goals round up on MOTD2.

See Bent scores, runs off to celebrate, went for the old 'punch the badge' celebration, then clearly thought 'ooh ****' and aborted midway through.

What a helmet (unless he re-signs for us...)

Nice to see Tommy Smith nail a corker for QPR, always liked him.

Arshavin must surely leave Arsenal now, I know they were booing AOC off rather than him on, but his face said a thousand words.

Clint Dempsey should surely play for a bigger side, the leagues most underated player?

Saddened to see Tommy Sorensen have a mare.

Sess goal gets better with every watch, and his celebration said a lot to me, he certainly doesn't look in any way detached or wantaway to me.

I think that's it like.
 
The man is just a whore, simple as, if Liverpool were to bid for him then that transfer request would be in so fast you'd set a new scientific record

Dunno why everyone wants to go to Liverpool nowadays. They are ****e. King Kenny is doing **** all, Mandy Carroll isn't interested, Suarez is too busy being a racist, and the only one that seems to be doing anything is the on loan Bellemy. Liverpool are clinging to the 'top 4' status they help a few years ago.. I wouldn't even say they are anymore.

Agree with Bent being a whore tho. Just wish he was still our whore :(

With Dempsey having signed for Norwich, will he be eligible to play against us next week?
 
They are all going to Liverpool because of the stupid amounts of money they are forking out hence big payday before they even kick a ball, nothing to do with history and all the usual gubbins when they talk bleary eyed about Liverpool.

I'd have been gutted if he'd went Norwich, he's cracking player, i'd have wondered why we hadn't moved!
 
I'd have Dempsey in a flash. Good player.

Bent is a whore but a very expensive high class one these days. Sadly for all concerned, also a selfish, fragile and weak character and I don't really think he would fit into our team spirit these days anyway.
 
Bent would leave Villa for L/pool as quickly as he left us. Pure mercenary.

And Pool need somebody like him desparately. I reckon they'll go after another striker this window.

A Scouse lad on the radio Saturday night summed it all up for me.

He said ," For £35 million we should have got one of the best strikers in the country , the one we got isn't even the best striker in Liverpool."
