It's a fantastic effort from Franny. I hope the club let him finish close to kick off so there is a big crowd to receive him.

Well, I am a runner and I can tell you what Franny is doing is beyond crazy. But thats Banali through and through. Good luck to him, he's going to need it.

Agreed. Effectively he's running to 19 [nearly 1000 miles] clubs from the first one, but he's doing it in 21 days..? Surely that's too far per day..?

Fair play to the nipper. I hope has been preparing well. It seems very ambitious.

I don't know if he is taking any rest days but that is just under 50 miles a day if not? Thats crazy, my brother runs ultra marathons but he would never get up the next day and do it again, he can't walk for 3 days after usually!!!

Ever really stretched Google Maps into loads of destinations..? It doesn't like it. After about 8 it gives up the option [or my version does], which I was slightly surprised about. Thing was, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to test GMaps, so I started with St James Park and ended with St Marys and put all the destinations in between. Also, I changed the option to walking/running. As I said, after about 8 destinations GMaps gave up the option of a new destination, so I added three mini trips together, starting with the last destination of the previous trip. So I got Toon to Stoke, via the appropriate destinations = 324 miles. Stoke to Chelsea = 427 miles, and lastly Chelsea to St Marys = 83 miles. That's 834 miles in total. So it's nearly 850 miles over 21 days. Still remarkable.

Or 39.7142857143 miles per day. We may call that 40 miles, but I bet Franny will be glad that he doesn't have to run the extra quarter of a mile each day.

And yes, I am a saddo, but it only took 10 minutes. And Google Maps is great, but it doesn't seem like a miracle anymore.

You need to go back to google classic maps by clicking on the question mark at the bottom of the screen. That version allows 22 locations. The new one is just not as good or intuitive; Google have tried to put too much into the new one.

    Progress is decline.

No need, I have lots of work I don't want to do that I need to put off with pointless exercises, so I've done it for you:

Tell you something, he's going to hate Swansea by the end of this.

Right, first up I have to say that the computer I'm working on is no slouch. In fact, it's bloody fast and powerful.

Just to update then. I changed to Classic GMaps and put in all 20 destinations, which was fine. Changed to Walk and hit the button. It froze..! The computer is fine [here I am typing away], the OS is fine, but Classic Google Maps has had a seizure. :)

    Shall I try it again..?

He should be thankful Truro City aren't in the Premier League!

Thanks. As you can see I did try a pointless exercise myself, simply because I'd rather do pointless exercises than actually do some work. :)

835 miles then. Quite remarkable how the new Google Maps managed 834 miles via the exact same route. Someone ought to tell Franny to run with the new Google Maps in his head. Then he'll run a mile less. ;)

If Southampton, Swansea and Hull weren't in it it would help a significant amount!

I'm sure the Premier League Establishment would agree with you. I'll always remember Bobby Charlton's dismissive comments about Saints [don't ask because I've temporarily forgotten them but they weren't nice].

Would help even more if Newcastle and Sunderland weren't in it! As for Swansea, they may cause Franny a huge detour, but then he'll be running past my house, so I'll give him a cheer<ok>
