If I was rich, I would buy myself some pretty nice stuff, but I would be ashamed to spend that much on frivolities like flashy jewellery. Think of the good you can do with that amount of money.

Is that the 401 chap, running 401 marathons in 401 consecutive days! I believe the Bournemouth Marathon was number 398, and in which, he ran a new pb. Just looked it up and it's his final marathon today!
Also, this line kind of makes it more astonishing despite not technically ending up doing a marathon a day (still did the equivelant 10,506.2 mileage).

This kind of thing, and what Frannie is doing boggles my mind because I ran a marathon once...and for several days thereafter, well...let's just say there are more nimble 90 year olds.
I believe JK Rowling lost her Billionaire status because she has given so much to charity. There is, after all, no real need to be a Billionaire!
Like most people I'm sure, I would love to help smaller causes where money would be seen to do good. However, by the time you are talking billions, you would have to give away tranches of ready cash to make a hole in your fortune and have staff to help you do it.. As said, there is a limit to how much you need....unless you are vulgar show offs like the Kardashians.

Looks like he made it as he is at Stoke now.
Yay....1:44 - 2:23 cycled near my house(out of shot). The section covers the plateau from Penderyn (Welsh Whisky), past Ystradfellte (waterfalls), to the A470 at Beacons Reservoir (a stretch of road much-loved by Top Gear).
