We have been in contact with a few parents etc who have lost their kids in Thailand and it's heartbreaking to hear of their stories... my boyfriend (Ben's brother) still can't speak of his death and hasn't come to terms with it fully. He can't hear about his death and walks out the room when what happened is spoken about. Kills me to see him suffer at losing his brother this way.
I really don't know what to say, I can offer my condolences but words mean nothing. No one deserves to lose their life on what is supposed to be a dream holiday, my heart goes out to you and your family.
I sincerely hope action is taken as a result of the petition.

Hi all,
Just to give you an update..
Ben's mum has been in contact with the local MP and he's been very supportive. He has said that it's something that we can look into.
The BBC are getting statistic on the most recent deaths and they're keeping in close contact with Bens Mum. They think there is a story. We've had lots of families come forward who have also lost family members in Thailand and they're even talking of maybe a documentary.
It's all so exciting to actually get somewhere.
Thank you for the support.

Excellent Leane, really pleased you are making some progress.

Hi Everyone
Just bumping this up again, the petition asking for the government to look into his death and that of other Western travellers is gaining momentum, and has currently nearly 13,000 signatures.
Pats mum, is looking for one final push to get it to 15,000 signatures.

I am asking you please if you can find it in your heart to get behind this petition and share it far and wide. It would mean so much to the family and if something comes of this we know Ben wouldn't have died in vain. So please sign if you haven't and if you could send it on who could sign or publicise it further please do
