likelylad has summed it up very nicely.

HBA is probably one of THE best players that has been at our club. Pardew has chucked his toys out of his pram big style on this one for some strange reason and has continued to get our backs up, trying to paper over the cracks with a few signings.

I have no doubt that Brucie is a far better man manager than Pardew and will get HBA's head right, and if played in the correct position (floating behind front two) will absolutely deliver the goods. Personally I can't wait to see how he does and I will make a point of tuning into your games just to watch HBA. In all honesty I'd rather watch your team just to see HBA play, than watch the shower of ****e we are serving up so far !

Pardew is not a liked man on Tyneside, and if I had my choice of who should have stayed and who should have gone, I would pick Pardew to go everytime.

Good luck for the rest of the season lads.

Thanks for that input on HBA and the good wishes mate. I've always felt that on his day Ben Arfa is one of the most gifted and exciting to watch players in English football. I just had reservations about his temperament and attitude. I'm now convinced from your and the other Toon lads comments that the problem lay more with Pardews "my way or the highway" attitude and that HBA could really enjoy Bruce as his manager and the team spirit at the KC. Bruce is a brilliant man manager and if anyone can get the best out of Ben Arfa its SB. Its going to be interesting to see how this turns out. If HBA plays to his potential we have got a player that could make a huge difference to our club in a position we have really been lacking a real contributor. Exciting times for us. Good luck to you lads also for the rest of the season.

He certainly has the potential and has shown it in flashes for us. On his day he is totally unplayable, but he has to be managed right. He came to our club with a bit of a reputation of being a trouble maker at his past clubs so I guess there is that to be wary of. Whether you consider his fall out with Pardew and alleged disruption in the dressing room to be "trouble" is up to you and I guess only time will tell. What certainly is clear though is that he passed the point of no return with Pardew at some point last season, and I don't think anyone really knows the reasons why. My own personal feeling is that Pardew should have been man enough to pull him to one side in pre-season and tell him the slate had been wiped clean and that he was in last chance saloon so to speak, especially given the fact that so many new faces had been brought in. As you say though it seems that Pardews stance has been my way or the highway but he hasn't even been given that chance this season. Made to train with the reserves, stripped of the No10 shirt etc etc, it all just leaves a really bitter taste in my (and a lot of others) mouth(s).

With any luck he'll fall on his own sword with this one!

This one is just beautiful . He might be amazing to watch. Finally a hull city player that can get past a man!

Having watched that all I can say is...WOW!! Imagine him running through defences from mid-field at speed and putting the ball in the net. We've never had a player like that. Jelly and Hernandez are going to love this guy opening things up for them. Just can't wait to see him in action at the KC against West Ham.

Play him in the hole behind the front two and you will get the best out of him. I wish I was a Hull City supporter but clubs are like family, you cant choose them. Well geordies cant anyhow, you are kind of born supporting the toon.
Explains why we constantly get over 50,000 in the ground but haven't won anything domestically since 55.

Good luck for the season lads. Enjoy!

I'm off back to the toon forums now

Maybe the Toon Army will lend us their Ben Arfa "Che" banner for the rest of the season? ;)

Just seen the video of Ben Arfa arriving at the training ground last night again...
I've never seen anyone so happy to be playing for Hull City! Can see a sell out for the West Ham game!
