I spent ages looking for Kia Joorabchian before realising who you meant...

Ben Arfa on Richards was a stonewall penalty for me. Very clumsy from Ben Arfa but defending is not his game. Richards undoubtedly went down easy but it doesn't change the fact Ben Arfa bundled into him. Just one of those things that happens when forwards defend.

I thought he did well generally, in a game in which we were very much 2nd best. He needs games now but whether you drop Best to accomodate him, I'm just not sure. We missed Best on Saturday, just for his hold up play. Certainly first half. Ba couldn't have trapped a bag of cement on saturday for some reason, thought he had a really poor game. Just shows though, he still had 3 great chances.

    I've never seen Groundhog Day.

I tell myself everyday to watch it.

Ben Arfa and Best up front maybe? Best takes it down, passes it to HBA and he puts them away.

I was discussing this yesterday with friends, but we kept coming to the conclusion that Ba is hard to leave out because of the goals. All round play, there is no real contest. Ba is pretty robotic and hitty miss with his hold up play, whereas Best has been excellent for us in this regard this year. But Ba just seems Johnny on the Spot. We were saying the same about Best though when Ba wasn't here/performing! i'd be very tempted to drop Benni, but something about him at Old Trafford makes me think he'll turn on the style or score a screamer!

It's a tricky one, because all of them have their separate qualities that could add to the team, but it's hard to drop them now. It's a good position to be in though.

To conclude the last 11 pages for unfortunate people like me who just trawled the thread looking for the video...

    1) No one agrees with Bano, despite his supposed vast knowledge
    2) Groundhog day is a pretty good movie
    3) The video has been taken down and not put back up so no other links have been posted on this thread.

    Waste of bloody 15 mins...

Well a stonewaller in my football days always meant the penalty is an absolute certainty. Couldn't comment how the media use it. I'm not gonna change the way I use it after 20 years of using that way. That was a definite penalty for me, no argument. He bundled him over in the box. How easy Richards goes down is neither here nor there IMO.

So what is the actual meaning of stonewall penalty? I honestly thought it meant certain pen, always have done. As in you could be certain a stonewall wouldn't fall down or something!! Howay man Colly you've left it hanging!

I'm guessing this version of stonewall:

(Law / Parliamentary Procedure) to obstruct or hinder (parliamentary business)

Exactly what OT said. Pundits are using it to mean 'definite', which it doesn't mean at all. Definite, clear, nailed on, I'd possibly even accept 'iron clad' but stonewall? No. Unless its a penalty you refuse to talk to...

Tis true..................you cruel bastard. I actually played one game early this year in a charity do. Lasted the full 90mins. I'm told I looked delirious with pain after 70mins. I asked why the **** they didn't sub me then!!! Woke up the next day with knees and ankles like Mike Ashley
