Would the money have been safe in a family trust? Transfer all your assets into such a scheme with provisos as to how payments can be made from it?

Nice fat fee on that job for some Enforcement Agents 7.5% of the judgement debt. Looks like they have taken the deeds and other securities under a controlled goods agreement, which gives time to pay in full or by instalments. I can’t imagine they would have left after just 2 hours. Hard case to enforce on, I would love the fee, but not the liability if I got it wrong!
 
They're struggling in League 1 and don't get as many fans as Sunderland, yet someone wants to buy them? Presposterous. Everyone knows you can only sell a football club if they're in London and a Premier League side and get 40,000 every week.

Unless of course, maybe just maybe, you can sell any club providing the price is reasonable.

Judge to put Oyston assets up for auction today

At 10.30am today in the Rolls Building in London, Justice Marcus Smith is expected to approve orders for sale and to set a date for the auction. In total, there are 24 properties and shares in six companies. Among them is Blackpool Football Club (Properties) Limited, Oyston’s company that owns the majority of shares in the football club, as well as the Bloomfield Road stadium, Squires Gate training ground and the Travelodge hotel.
