The documentary "Being AP" had it's first public screening at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday. One of just 400 documentaries selected to be shown (from 60,000 submissions) the 95 minute film will be released in UK cinemas on 27th November, followed by a DVD release the following week. The film will air on the BBC in 2017.

The film follows AP's final season in the saddle, though when filming started AP had yet to decide to retire. There is a review of the film in today's Racing Post, which will hopefully appear online later today. The review states that racing fans will probably learn little new about the man himself, but it is a fascinating story and gives great "behind the scenes" access, including many tough discussions between AP and Chanelle.

Interview with the Director.

I’d be amazed if come the ‘New Year Sales’ this title wasn’t half price in the ‘Pound Shop’!

The only way I can possibly see it achieving anything is if Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, has been cast in the role of ‘dashing hero’ who saves the world whilst walking from the winner’s enclosure to the owner’s and trainer’s bar.

It's ok Barney - we all know you're keeping your money for when they bring out "Fabulous Frankie" next year in honour of that nice Dettori chap.

Or maybe "Liz-63 years of joy". There's bound to be souvenir DVD to mark this momentous occasion. I suspect SBC will be fighting with the new leader of the Labour Party to be at the front of the queue for that one.
