........I'll start the ball rolling for the Charlton game.

I'll miss this one - off tomorrow morning having a week down on the Jurassic Coast to see if I can find any of Slade's relatives....<laugh>

We have the quality at the club to win this one comfortably, but can the lads turn it on again like against Hull but without conceding?

Must get at them from the off and not show too much respect. Sitting back playing a patient game will not cut it - inviting them on hoping to score on the break is a recipe for disaster. Must push on and take it to them - but how best to do that? Let's face it, we've just got to win this one by whatever means.

Stick with the trademark 4-4-2 and get around them out wide, or play to feet through the middle and try to get someone in behind them with a pass? Jones and Mason up front again to provide both options?

Personally, I think Pilks has just got to come back in for this one - Noone seems a bit of a luxury at the moment.

Agreed Pilks and KWJ to be back Saturday.

Better than losing though Sheepy. Barry Tiger sent me a running text commentary and it seemed like we had quite a few opportunities while playing like a bunch of girls at the back.
 
Who's gone, has big Russ finally had the Bullet, nothing on WOL or website, or is that wishful thinking OS?
In Russ we trust ( only because we've got no one else to trust in!!! LOL)
I've dodged the Elvis weekend in Sunny Porthcawl, its of to Blackpool Thursday for the annual pilgrimage, and a possible return 2 weeks later for the Preston game? Oh I so love those northerners.
 
I'm not sure it was that poor. Again the ref has made a massive call against us. We were well on top when Mason was brilliantly threaded through, there was no reason to go down. It looked a stone wall pen, with the keeper having to go. After 2 disappointing results we could easily have capitulated but the lads responded well to win the game. We also managed the last 5 minutes or so brilliantly. We kept the ball, ran to the corners and avoided the terrifying finishes we've become used to when holding a single goal margin at home. But for a brilliant goal line clearance and 2 bad headed misses we could easily have been 3 -0 up after about 15 minutes.

It's not all glass half full, Charlton had chances too but you'd need a very negative outlook to say we deserved anything other than the win.
