Hopefully. Sony claim it's only 0.4% of consoles that are broken, which is alright for new technology, but I dunno. Seems like more with the amount that are complaining, but it may just be that they're extremely vocal. Seems like it's the next gen version of the RROD. I'm hoping there's some kind of easy fix brought out over the next two weeks.
 
I feel like you tall gits should leave Hayley to a short-arse like me. The whole 'Theres plenty of fish in the sea' doesn't really work when your limited to a pond, because...before any of my other limitations gets in the way, I'm short and so I have limited picking to really short girls anyway. Damn you genes. Damn you.

RROD is just the fan not working at all, there has been no account of RROD being because of overheating like the 360.

I was just comparing it because it's a common problem killing consoles - hopefully it's not nearly as bad because basically everyone I knew with an early-ish 360 (including me) had RROD.

I had it, I had 2 360's and 3 PS3's. That's why I decide to buy with Game, you can buy a 3year insurance from them for £34. Say I ever get a fault all I have to do is take it into town and they will swap it that day. None of this sending it off to get repaired crap.

Ah that is actually pretty good. I wonder if I can get any insurance - do Sony offer an extended warranty anywhere?
 
I've only had one PS3. Still works after about five years, and that's even after my brother split coffee all over it.

I spilt Pepsi on my current 360 (one of the newer shiny black ones) and it's still running. You'd have thought it'd mess it up because it's sticky - but then you'd think the same for coffee.

Haven't a clue, I know you get the year warranty tho. Have you got a Game near you? Could try their one, don't know if you can get it if you don't buy it from there tho.

My first 360 disc drive went mad and shattered a game disc inside it. My PS3's were just disc read errors.
