I find that practically every programme is ****, on every channel, bar the odd programme or series that pokes its head over the parapet. Perhaps my expectations are just too high.

Mind you, the pundits said this would happen with the proliferation of channels, and they turned out to be correct. I'll probably ditch my TV licence when it comes up for renewal.

Comedy is subjective. If enough people watch a programme to warrant showing it, then we have to accept that it is funny on some level. I personally hate American comedy films where grown men act like kids and humour is at the toilet level, but I have a secret weapon....I don't watch them. I know what I like, but none of us should set ourselves up as the arbiters of what is funny.
