Liking the new name. Not liking Dr Who. I don't care what anyone says; it's always been ****.
And I felt like it was only me who thought it. I stopped watching around 10 years of age because it was... well, awful. I have since had a look at modern ones and it is just... well, awful with attitude.
I can hear all those cliché even now...
Ooh, remember when you hid behind the sofa while watching Dr Who..? NO..!
Ooh, remember you used to cuddle the cushion while watching Dr Who..? NO..!
Ooh, remember when you used to put your hand up in front of your face and watch through your fingers..? Err.. NO..!
No, I don't remember doing any of these things because I didn't do them. It wasn't spooky or frightening, even to a 5, 6, 7 or 8 year old, unless they were used to a diet of TV fairy cake. I'm sure there are those, almost mythical, viewers out there who adore Dr Who because it is so special. I expect they number in their hundreds rather than the millions who are supposedly out there in TV land. I have never been one of them, although I will admit to liking Jon Pertwee as a comic actor.
