Liking the new name. Not liking Dr Who. I don't care what anyone says; it's always been ****.

And I felt like it was only me who thought it. I stopped watching around 10 years of age because it was... well, awful. I have since had a look at modern ones and it is just... well, awful with attitude.

I can hear all those cliché even now...

Ooh, remember when you hid behind the sofa while watching Dr Who..?
NO..!
Ooh, remember you used to cuddle the cushion while watching Dr Who..? NO..!
Ooh, remember when you used to put your hand up in front of your face and watch through your fingers..? Err.. NO..!

No, I don't remember doing any of these things because I didn't do them. It wasn't spooky or frightening, even to a 5, 6, 7 or 8 year old, unless they were used to a diet of TV fairy cake. I'm sure there are those, almost mythical, viewers out there who adore Dr Who because it is so special. I expect they number in their hundreds rather than the millions who are supposedly out there in TV land. I have never been one of them, although I will admit to liking Jon Pertwee as a comic actor.

Yeah I saw GoT only has 10 episodes when I was in Sainsbury's earlier. So I'm half way through series one and pretty much nothing major has happened.

Okay, so...

[nsfw]Jaime boning his sister; Bran paralysed from the waist down; Daenerys marries a warlord; Arya's friend killed by the Hound; Daenery's learns she is pregnant; failed assassination attempt on Bran - Tyrion held responsible; King Robert orders assassination of Daenerys and unborn child; Ned and Jaime have a sword fight.[/nsfw]

I accidentally left the UK proxy that I use to access iPlayer engaged, and went to the Steam store. Suddenly, everything was cheaper...and then I saw the currency symbol and all joy was dashed.

I'm 4 episodes in to series 1 and there's been a lot of politics!
