Florian Marange, a new signing for Crystal Palace, is angry to find that he isn't in the named squad. Says he wouldn't have come if he knew he wouldn't play...now says he will move in January. Does have a point....you might assume you would be in the squad if signed (unless signed for the future as an Academy player).
That one is really bizarre. Seems like a decent player as well.

He also said he wasn't introduced to the press, has no club suit (obvious why now), and had no official photograph. Seems like Palace were hoovering up players and then found they didn't want him...tough on the player.

So one signing breaks their leg and another moans about not being treated right. Not a good start.

Good review of Blackout here, you will all like the Pompey reference! :emoticon-0116-evilg

"...This is a cyber attack on our entire national grid; the country grinds to a halt for a week. Traffic lights fail – Cricklewood Broadway is honking mayhem, which actually is exactly how it always is; likewise, the floodlights go out at Fratton Park, making zero difference to the way Portsmouth play their football; petrol pumps can't pump petrol; CCTV cameras stop working; hospitals switch to their generators; and the London Eye stops turning."

That bit was funny. I think the fans were singing, "Stuck in a sh*thole, we are stuck in a sh*thole"

Guys, don't buy Rome II when it comes out. It's a mess. Wait a few months to see if they patch all of the bugs.

On a happier note, I got bored enough to watch the E3 trailer of Final Fantasy 15. I'm cautiously optimistic that they may have actually fixed the series. Might be the first one I buy since FFX.

The characters still look like emo pricks, but they'll never change that. All the monsters you see are from FF8, which is my favourite of the series, and the battle style looks amazing.

Think Total War Rome 2 is beyond fixing tbh. My mate had a press release version and he says it basically unplayable. That and the fact they have 'streamlined' the **** out of it. You can't unlock any other nation you now have to buy them for £5.

Total War has always been terribly optimized and prone to bugs -- I can run practically everything on high/ultra settings at a good frame rate, except Total War: Empires -- but they've had how many years now to correct it?

Oh well; I'll get it for $5 in three years when half the bugs are corrected.

This is far worse then anything they have done before. They even had more money to fix it, but the fact it is much worse says something.

That was XIII-2 for a bit right? And then they changed it to XV? I am playing XIV at the moment, a great example of how to fix a completely broken release, the new producer has done incredible work taking what was good out of the broken 1.0 release and putting it into 2.0, a bit rocky getting on it due to demand but I am pretty hooked at the moment and I don't usually play MMORPGs. Perhaps the guys who created Total War 2 should take a leaf out of their book, scrap it, scrap the team and start from scratch...

Ahh, might impulse buy Rome 1 again. In fact I might even have the disc somewhere. Because I haven't wasted enough hours this Summer.

I have no familiarity with the games post FFX. I played XII for a few minutes and same with X-2, but that's it. I don't think I'd ever been more disappointed with the demise of a video game series. There will always be a special place in my heart for the PS1 releases (7, 8 and 9), but I've long since given up on hoping for a return to those days. I also hated the departure from the turn-based battle system. Just because you have the technological capability to do so, doesn't mean you have to do so. The complex strategic element was completely lost after that.
