It's not just the leagues the Qatar world cup messing up.

I heard the American company that got the rights to show the Qatar world cup is thinking of pulling out. It's a totally **** up, to change it to the winter will mean leagues losing a hell of a lot of money. Yes some like the Prem can survive it but think of the smaller leagues. This won't be just one season it messes up either.

Then you have the transfer windows, what are they going to do with them? You can't have a transfer window the same month as the world cup. It's a total mess.

Okay, firstly, I'm not condoning Qatar's human rights record nor am I saying that it's not having an adverse social impact in the country itself, but as for it affecting the leagues, why? Surely it'll just mean the league start a bit earlier, which will mean more matches played in the summer/autumn time when the weather's better and you'll get more fair weather fans, I mean when would you rather see a game, in the cold depths of January or the warm balmy days of August? Surely it's a no-brainer? I'm guessing you're thinking it might affect TV revenue, but outside of the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga etc (basically the top divisions of a small number of countries), TV revenue is barely anything anyway. Furthermore, if a one month break in the middle of winter causes deep financial crises, something is severely wrong with football. As for the transfer window, surely that can just move either earlier in the season or later in the season depending on when it starts. It doesn't have to be in January....

I'm not saying I support the World Cup being in winter, or that I think it's good idea, but to paraphrase Mark Twain (I think it was) rumours of it being a complete disaster have been greatly exaggerated (not saying the Qatar world cup won't be a disaster for other reasons though).

I don't believe in many conspiracy theories, but the one of Qatar bribing their way to get the World Cup is one of them. When Sepp Blatter announced the 2022 hosts, it looks like he's about to say Qatar before he even reads what's in the envelope!

Transfer window getting moved probably takes a lot more then you think.

We're playing a game over on the Portsmouth forum. It's a prediction league- it takes just 30 seconds to post your entries, and is a lot of fun to be involved in!

Nearly every GTA character(not just lead) is voiced by the same guy. I thought Trevor was voiced by James Wood, he is my fave character tbh.

What is it with games and lazy voice acting recently? Hundreds of people on Skyrim and about four different voices.

Never quite got that myself. Yes, it would be a logistical nightmare to have 4000 voice actors for each and every background character, but repeat appearances really do detract something, and when your game costs $100m+ scheduling a few more voice actors is kinda worth it.

He does about 50 different voices tho so not so lazy. But yeah I agree with you on Skyrim.
