Without trying to be sexist, my favourite analogy about the difference between man and women is that emotionally, generally, men are like dogs (an open book) and women are like cats (complex)....A dog will kill from instinct whereas a cat will often kill for fun and will play with its' prey while it is still alive....That's not to say that ALL women are like this but there are definately some that take great pleasure in 'toying' with people's emotions and if you are an 'open book' then you may well be prey for such women.

    Yes
    Yes
Wasn't really looking for anything at the time so I guess yes.
I can do, but I wasn't trying then.
I wasn't really going for anyone at the time.
Depends. I think I look alright but others may think of me as a stereotypical geek

Anyway, sorry for going on but there is literally no-one I can talk about such things with. I do appreciate all advice given and sorry if I annoy you guys.

It's no problem mate, there might be the odd joke but I don't think anyone bears any ill-will, you're a nice guy and perfectly harmless it just feels like we're retreading the same path every week or two and it can wear a bit although it's no real bother. That's how I feel anyway and am inferring that some others feel the same, like I said, it's no problem.

Got into my first bar fight tonight. Good thing the guys who started it were useless at it.

During the week Cardiff's owner said that they had an agreement to buy Wanyama, but we went higher. After Lennon denied this, Wan has retracted the statement and said they had made an offer which was not accepted.

I love women. They are great company and as a young man I shagged more than my share but I was never desperate and I never took women too seriously.

Women are not complicated. They like a shag just like you and me but they like a few rituals before hand.

Don't come on too heavy just chat to them like you would a good friend and whatever you do don't send out all those messages saying "I want to get inside your nickers".

Any way stop asking us blokes for advice ask your sister, female cousins or women you know well but are off limits. They might be able to give you some clues.

PS Don't let anyone tell you that you are too ugly for women to fancy. It has never stopped me and to this day I am always amazed when I look in the mirror and frighten myself and then think I am oh so lucky that the very lovely, the very gorgeous, the very beautiful Mrs Godders:emoticon-0115-inlov has loved me for all these years.

Not everyone has someone. That's just your perception. People meet, have relationships and break up all the time. Give yourself a break...perhaps you come over as desperate. Do you go out with mates? May have more luck in a pack than as a loner. My personal advice would be to give up for a while and just live your life. Or you could turn all our advice into a book and make a fortune. Tales of a Desperate Youth (And how I found true love) by PompeyLapras.

To be fair, in retrospect probably the people pulling, most of them were probably already couples anyway. For some reason, I didn't consider this possibility last night, I blame the vodka.

Went on a team building course with my ex some years ago. Not realising we were married, everyone thought we'd pulled on the first day.

If he's your ex and it was a team building exercise, are there any grounds for suing them? ;)

Go on you know you should and we would all love to read your words of wisdom.

I have often wondered if blokes with sisters find it easier to meet women than blokes who don't have sisters?

Thanks for the advice, Fran. Unfortunately most of my friends aren't really into the clubbing/dancing scene, but you're right I should forget it for a while. Though part of the reason why I'm so keen to find love is for someone to do stuff with. I don't mind doing stuff on my own, but it'd be more fun with someone I'd imagine (and none of my friends are even remotely geeky!)

Anyhow, let's forget about the whole pulling thing, copious amounts of alcohol meant I didn't consider the most likely possibility which was rather silly of m.

    Anyway, how is everyone today?

Oh dear, the owner of Farnborough FC and the chairman (I think) are having a very public and vociferous argument with each other on the Farnborough forum. Talk about cringe-worthy.
