Guessing no one saw Puncheon on Sky Sports then. He talked about how he has enjoyed his time here and that the manager and players really want to push for Europe this season.

Changes to offside rule. One about getting in way of opponent when offside appears to be just a play on words. The second change will be harder for linos/refs to gauge...a player is offside if the ball rebounds off a post or from a player clearly defending....BUT...if a defender hits it towards an offside player whilst not clearly making a save that player will not be offside. Sometimes that will be clear...a defending player makes a 15 yard crap pass, but closer into the goal will give plenty of room for interpretation.

Worry not Fran, the rule is pretty much exactly the same, just worded a bit better to clear up a couple of grey areas. The old rule referred to "gestures or movements which decieve or distract", which unless you're flipping a V to the goalkeeper (from an offside position), doesn't make much sense. Now it is a bit more obvious that if you challenge for the ball with an opponent, but don't actually touch it, you're still offside.

PS if anyone misquotes Shankly/Clough they're getting neg repped. :)

Got tickets to see the Arctic Monkeys, it'll be my third time. It's at Earls court though, anyone been there before? I'm hearing negative things from my friends who have.

Ok at best I'm afraid. Most of their songs aren't all that and they tend to shout the lyrics nearer the end of their set rather then sing them.

AMAZING first set by Del Potro (sp.) injures him self horribly in the first game, gets up and wins the first set 6-2, great stuff

And now the second set. Incredible tennis from Del Potro given the injury. Yes, in my opinion, a fully fit and on form Del Potro would crush Ferrer on any surface other than clay, but this isn't a fully fit Del Potro. Injured knee coming into the match, and then sliding like that at the start of the match and hurting the knee even further...just have to hope that if he does win this, he doesn't then pull out and hand Novak (or Berdych) a SF walkover.

What a rally, and then winner, on match point. Well done Del Potro!
