Imagine if you went to confront him face to face, and he turned out to be really intelligent and made loads of irrefutable arguments that made you look silly, then had a threesome with two extremely hot girls right there in front of you. Boy, would your face be red for mocking him all this time.
I would indeed be chastened beyond belief and also totally in agreement that the American government is operating secret camps in North Dakota where innocent people are picked up by black helicopters and forced to recycle and plant vegetable gardens and live in yurts, so complete would be my transformation.

Wonderful logic, that:

- This outbreak is totally the doing of the government (and not the fact that, like morons, we've taken a hammer to herd immunity to the disease) who just want to poison your kids!
When humanity dies out, it will not be because of a meteorite, or volcanic ash, or the simple fizzling out of the sun. It will not even be because of a global war, or the intentional use of nuclear weapons, or some unforeseen disease that we simply cannot beat. It will be because we as a species will contrive to do something unimaginably stupid, an act of absolute idiocy or continued acts of negligence that so fly in the face of good sense that the universe, deciding that we've become too divorced from the survival instinct that got us where we are, will say "alright, that's enough silliness out of you", and ****.
A doctor friend of mine said they used a phrase, GM, which means Guardian-reading mothers. They have read so much background material that they never listen to doctors. My view on that is that doctors will not always be right, but they must have a better batting average than the guy down the pub.
I know you say I should move on, and I do intend to but if I don't hear anything, I'm thinking of registering on the forum and posting in that thread. Nothing to do with trying to sort things out, just so I have the opportunity to give my version of events. If people are talking about you, then you should have theopportunity to post your own view and explanation from your perspective.

Only do that if you're really desperate to defend yourself, otherwise it'll come off as way too much. You don't need to defend yourself, they'll all just think you're way too paranoid and over sensitive. It's not like she said horrible things about you, really.

If you spent 2 minutes comparing the live broadcasts of the 2nd plane hitting on 9/11 you will see that the plane in some of them is coming from different directions . Pretty much everything about that day is suss but if you can watch a tower coming down exactly like a controlled demolition and not raise an eyebrow you will probably be able to bat off some simple tv broadcast errors as well.

Just move on and keep your dignity. She wasn't awful about you...doesn't warrant a response beyond letting her know you saw it. Keep going down this path and you will get obsessive. Lighten up a bit for your own happiness.
Yeah you're right, I've done all I can without being creepy. Just sucks as I've done absolutely nothing wrong but i'm being made to feel like I have. It's like my ex all over again.

Dude, no. Just...no. Your initial statement there is what? That the planes were CGI'd into the broadcasts and they ****ed it up somehow?
Here's the problem with conspiracy theories: you are at once assuming that the government is omnipotent -- that they have managed to fake such an event with the assistance of literally thousands of people in the government, media and elsewhere, none of whom have gone public, hundreds of thousands if you include witnesses -- and yet entirely incompetent, such that they couldn't even figure out directionality with a ****ing CGI'd image. It's nonsense.
As for the broadcast errors, watch American TV during a crisis some time. While the Boston situation was unfolding, I was listening to the police scanners for several hours at a time...the media, for some ungodly reason, was not. They reported all sorts of completely idiotic stuff, and even the good journos got involved. Literally as a BPD officer said that he saw movement in the boat, I got a breaking news update from Reuters (who are generally as staid and competent as they come) stating that their sources were confirming that the younger one was dead. They were getting beaten at their jobs by any yahoo with a UStream link, because the Boston Police were kind enough to use an unencrypted channel because they were having no end of trouble getting the various and sundry groups that were coordinating on the secure frequency.
Again, this is the government that you believe is capable of pulling off 9/11 with no one but a bunch of neckbeards figuring it out despite this event happening in one of the most densely-populated areas of one of the most densely-populated cities in the world. Really, it's mostly a bunch of try-hard agencies who couldn't even get enough walkies that operated in the same fashion into the hands of all of the regular BPD/FBI/ATF/Port Police/whoever the hell else was there, so with the exception of their tac teams, they largely gave up and let the whole world listen.
And yes, there are genuine, legitimate conspiracies that have taken place. That does not mean that everything is a conspiracy. Start from the most rational explanation and deviate only when events suggest that you have cause to, and with 9/11 there is dick all to suggest that it was anything but a terrorist attack...god only knows how many engineers have debunked the controlled-demolition nonsense, so the only thing left is the manufactured feeling that you know something that the public is simply too dense to grasp.
It's fair to assume that you have not spent 2 minutes comparing the live broadcast.
It's also fair to assume that I watched the ****ing event as it happened and saw a bunch of panicky newspeople who didn't have the first clue of what was happening. Chaos leads to panic. Panic leads to mistakes. Mistakes lead to a bunch of internet warriors thinking that they have caught the government in the massacre of several thousand people in front of the world's eyes.
May I publically thank everyone who is shooting down the conspiracy theorists...I can't, as it is hard to type whilst banging your head on the table. Charles Darwin must be turning in his grave.
