So Charles Green being replaced at Rangers. Not surprised, as I always thought he was a bit deranged. very strange man.
Saw Green replaced by Mather this morning, but failed to notice that Green went last week. Just shows how you miss things when you have a friend staying for a week who doesn't want to watch wall-to-wall Sky Sports.
This weekend, Crewe are going to name a team that is entirely made up of academy players. Good for them.
It'll probably be a pretty good team as well.
Edit: just seen it... Garrett; Mellor, Davis, Ray, Tootle; Colclough, Turton, Murphy, Moore; Leitch-Smith, Clayton.
Most of those guys play regularly anyway. Amazing accomplishment.
Apologies if its elsewhere, a Pompey fan told me that Chelsea are setting up an academy in Portsmouth. More likely to be a scouting and training set-up rather than an academy I would think. He seemed to think it would affect us as well as Pompey. I replied that our Chairman would say we had nothing to worry about as we are a top academy already. I suppose this is part of the changes in the academy system where teams can look more than 90 min from their own ground.

Strong start from Hants this year. They would have easily beaten Leicestershire if it wasn't for the bloody rain.
Don't know if this is related but Saints are holding trials for 16 - 19 year olds for the "Second Chance Programme" at various venues including Sparsholt College and Bath University.
