Simple question Phil. Information not on BBC, FAW or WoL websites and from all I saw of the goal highlights, there appeared to be no fans at either end.
Not a criticism by me as we have the same problem getting bums on seats at CCS for Wales games. Just interested to know how many turned up.
For reasons unknown to humanity both ends were sectioned for specific use, one for away fans (all 50 of them) and the other was just closed off however there was a band there!!! One of the main reasons why Liberty and CCS will not sell it's full allocation is because not many know the game is actually going on, if you look at the BBC it was England vs Brazil for the best part of two weeks and little to no mention of the Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland matches.
On the day of the matches, we saw a report about Coleman saying he can finally selected a stronger squad than usual yet the only reference to the time and date of the game appeared as a small one line factoid.
Whilst the national media does nothing to help the cause in any way because we are not England, the FAW needs to get it's act together and start buying poster space on billboards in the city/town that hosts the matches, and those posters advertising the matches should be up with a one month advance of the kick off!!! Maybe then people will know there is game going on! FAW is so incompetent!
Seriously, how much can it cost to buy one month worth of poster space on three or four roadside billboards along the busiest roads in either Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Bridgend or Llanelli?!?!?!?! They could tell people who we are playing, and give the number hotline to or web address to enquire about tickets.
As it these are roadside billboards and traffic may mean driver will have have time to read it all, so you only need to show Bale's face against some sort of red background with the words:
Wales vs Austria
7 February 19:30
Google 'Wales Football Tickets'
Then the FAW will have already set up a webpage on their already existing FAW domain that appears top of the Google search. I can easily imagine Liberty and CCS selling out if that happened, we need to get the knowledge of the match out there because the BBC have certainly proven they have no interest in informing the Welsh population.
