Sparkey, you do mention Alan Durban quite a lot...this you liked him really! Managed us for a few years after he played a few seasons at Ninian Park! He went on to become a hero at Derby mate!
Nothing wrong with Durban's playing career at Derby, but much like Bobby Moore and Bobby Charlton, he should have stopped at that. Not sure which of those three proved to be the worst manager mind.
Perhaps the good citizens of Bristol have realised our founder - Walter Bartley Wilson - was a Bristolian born in Redcliffe and have thought that to be a good enough reason for switching their support to a better team especially as we play in the same colour shirts.
