Bristol City FC @bcfctweets 3m The away allocation for the trip to Cardiff City this month is now SOLD OUT. #BristolCity View details · Not bad two weeks away,do you think we will get anymore than the normal 2100 tickets.
RR - no chance That is the maxiumum allocated to away fans apart from cup games when we are obliged allow more. You have never used your full allocation at our new place. 700 to 800 has been the norm and even then you have been fighting amongst yourselves. Hope you will behave on the 16th as we are not used to uncouth behaviour. Nevertheless it will be a great atmosphere and good to have a full away end as that rarely happens.
They clearly all want to see what a Premier quality club, in a Premier quality stadium and its' Premier quality support looks like. Can't blame them for that - their last chance before away trips to Stevenage and Crawley next year.
Nevertheless it will be a great atmosphere and good to have a full away end as that rarely happens. now Blue, is that a full away end, or a full end away pal?
TMM Depends where you're coming from mate. There was a man from Ghent Who had a penis so long it bent It was so much trouble That he kept it double And instead of coming he went. Boom, boom!!!
'their last chance before away trips to Stevenage and Crawley next year' Sparkey - Count your blessings.
Well you couldn't talk about footy, so I suppose your usual focus on attendance is true to form!........
Simple question Phil. Information not on BBC, FAW or WoL websites and from all I saw of the goal highlights, there appeared to be no fans at either end. Not a criticism by me as we have the same problem getting bums on seats at CCS for Wales games. Just interested to know how many turned up.
For reasons unknown to humanity both ends were sectioned for specific use, one for away fans (all 50 of them) and the other was just closed off however there was a band there!!! One of the main reasons why Liberty and CCS will not sell it's full allocation is because not many know the game is actually going on, if you look at the BBC it was England vs Brazil for the best part of two weeks and little to no mention of the Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland matches. On the day of the matches, we saw a report about Coleman saying he can finally selected a stronger squad than usual yet the only reference to the time and date of the game appeared as a small one line factoid. Whilst the national media does nothing to help the cause in any way because we are not England, the FAW needs to get it's act together and start buying poster space on billboards in the city/town that hosts the matches, and those posters advertising the matches should be up with a one month advance of the kick off!!! Maybe then people will know there is game going on! FAW is so incompetent! Seriously, how much can it cost to buy one month worth of poster space on three or four roadside billboards along the busiest roads in either Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Bridgend or Llanelli?!?!?!?! They could tell people who we are playing, and give the number hotline to or web address to enquire about tickets. As it these are roadside billboards and traffic may mean driver will have have time to read it all, so you only need to show Bale's face against some sort of red background with the words: Wales vs Austria 7 February 19:30 Google 'Wales Football Tickets' Then the FAW will have already set up a webpage on their already existing FAW domain that appears top of the Google search. I can easily imagine Liberty and CCS selling out if that happened, we need to get the knowledge of the match out there because the BBC have certainly proven they have no interest in informing the Welsh population.
Sorry to you Bristol guys if this thread has gone off track, but it has to be said. The national game in Wales is a disaster administrativley. I'll admit I have no interest in it any more whatsoever. I just haven't been able to find the enthusiasm for it for the past dozen years or so. Funilly enough, since the time Hamman came along, and like many, got swept up in our club scene again. Not that I ever got even close to abandoning it as a supporter, just got disenchanted after Kumar took over from Rick Wright and brought in Phil Neal as manager. Apart from Alan Durban, that was the worst managerial appointment ever made at the club. The rest since then is history, although I always liked Frank Burrows while it lasted. Unfortunately, very little lasts forever. Nothing to do with the Welsh footballers who represent their country with the best motives, but club football for me is king.
