If it weren't for Man City I would say yes. I still don't know how they are going to affect the top 4 next season though tbh.

Now to shore up the defense! Anyone else think weve got a realistic chance of challenging for the title? Or am I thinking too far ahead?

3rd place i reckon, Chelsea are strengthening a lot, but i can see us taking the fight to United, but only if RvP stays.

3rd place and a trophy... I don't think we'll challenge for the title next season. Give this team one season and see how they do after that if they stay together.

Yep, we need to end trophy less run BADLY. If Giroud is here to add strength to our squad then that would help. You only have to go back to the CC game against City to see why. Our young players in that game played well, but the guy upfront let us down (Chamakh and Park).

On paper we should be title contenders, I mean we have 2 new players who are used to winning which might help.

I reckon we'll be in top 3 with a possible Carling or FA cup win. CL? anything is possible in that league so I wont go there.

chelsea have a small squad ... no way they can last at top 2 by end of season,
FFP is hitting them hard .. there will be too many players leaving .. some at end of their career ..
I doubt Arsenal can challenge us though .. well unless you sign M'vila & sure keep RVP
even City seem quite and ready to light up their wage bills .. i still think city squad is small too but sure not as small Chelsea, but 1-2 injuries to key players and they are doomed

You have a smaller squad than both Citeh and Chelsea, you need to hope for an injury free season.

If we get M'Villa and keep RVP we have a better chance than United or Chelsea, but City have a better defence with that beast Kompany in it :(

Did i see "City squad" and "small" in the same sentence? What the hell?

If they have no depth, who has?

The player has pretty much given a "come get me" plea, Gazidis what are you waiting for, go and get our man !!

First Pod, then Giroud (hopefully), next M'Villa ..... reasons to be cheerful, part 3 !!!! :)

Agreed!!!!

Not to be a downer here but am I the only one who is a little underwhelmed by Giroud? I'm sure he has great potential but from what I have seen of him, he looks very similar to Chamackh and does not seem the most mobile of strikers.
