What is it you want them to do? Go out splash a load of cash that the CLUB don't have and put us on a transfer embargo, or buy slowly within our remit preventing losses but building up to go for it which will take time?As the sayings go, talk is cheap and actions speak louder than words.
There has been a lot of posturing going on from the likes of Ashton and Lansdown but the time is fast approaching where people will want firm evidence of just how far our owner wants to take this project.
Management (of course) took the cheap and easy option in appointing LJ, when virtually the whole fan base wanted a more high profile name to go with the aspirations being bandied about.
After steering us (well) clear of the bottom 3 Little Lee has bought himself some time, but he and the whole club need to up the ante from the off next season, as this is going to be a hell of a tough league to even survive in.
had an emergency call to go to heathrow so didn't really finish ..However, it is not necessarily just about the sports but the home of the sports ASHTON GATE STADIUM the base for the skyscraper which will let the rest of the country see where we are
I have often wondered why in these difficult financial times more sporting franchises haven't followed a similar route by consolidating administration and stadium costs because improve.
I have criticised SL on many occasions, usually Monday mornings after a loss, and yet his formula sounds correct in most ways and so all we need now is the promised success and my thoughts empathise with anyone trying to navigate the rough waters of the Championship under the existing irrational financial restrictions imposed by those who don't give a flying fart about the likes of Bristol City and others like us.

don't quite see how they are a financial restriction ????Parachute payments could be looked upon as a form of financial restriction, but Mr Lansdown supports them.
Whilst I do understand why parachute payments exist, I agree that they could be considered unfair to other clubs in the Division. You want clubs in the top division to be competitive, but by doing this you help create a status quo that rewards those who just so happen to be at the top table at the right time (i.e. just as record-breaking TV deals come in).don't quite see how they are a financial restriction ????
in the next 3 years or so clubs who fail in the higher league drop into the championship and pick up a bonus of at least £80m plus add to that their gate monies, likes of Newcastle, and other income and they could well exceed £200m ... what can city expect in the same period?

Probably because he can see a time coming where we are falling like a stone from the Premiership, and he doesn't want us propping up the basement division like we did last timeThe unfairness of parachute payments restricts the ability of other clubs to progress. I have wondered why Mr Lansdown is in favour of rewarding failure, at the expense of BCFC.
