BBC Coverage ****ing appalling

Watched the coverage last night after recording it on Sky+. Seemed pretty poor, the choice of camera views was bad, seemed to miss a lot of the action. Also, you could only hear the Pompey fans throughout the game. We made a lot of noise in the Milton End but the BBC microphones hardly picked it up.

Aswell as the poor direction, at half time that tosser of a presenter, Jake Humphrey said, being top of the league flattered us ! What a prick !
 
It amazed me how poor it was. I mean the one thing they need to do is show the football thats all anyone wanted to see. Fine a few close ups during stopages are ok but regularly they were missing big chunks of play and I knew they were playing but couldnt see what was happening and in an already tense match it made it unbearable.
 
Oh and I actually quite like claridge. The presenter set him up to say how its a fluke we're top but he immediately rubbished it and said how good we are. Everytime he talks about us on TFLS I think he is very complimentary and fair.

Jake Humphrey obviously hasn't watched us through the season. I'd be thinking the same if all I'd seen was that crap first half.

Indeed he does. When he first started punditry, Claridge found it very hard to say anything compimentary about Saints, but he's got used to it. Generally, he's very fair in his comments.

Humphries should stick to that boring bloody four wheeled procession called F1. What's all this El Classicoast rubbish, anyway..? I don't give a monkey's whether two obscure Spanish sides do play each other. This is our derby match. Nothing to do with them.

Well I don't know any!!! In fact I would say my comments are the least derogatory of all the 'guys' I know. And that is from a group that think Nigella is most definitely hot hot hot. She must be ten years older!!!! drool. Keep yer hands off Rooney this granny's mine :)

Cutting to close-ups every 10 seconds (and that is no exaggeration), even when the game was going on and they'd cut back to the main shot and the ball had gone from one end of the pitch to the other. Camera work all over the place, the effects microphones were clearly all up the Fratton End too.

BBC is ****ing **** at sports these days.

spot on CBK - the only thing that made me swear during the game. And people moan at Sky!

No, you're right. We've deffo done you 4-1 again since then <ok>

The reason you could'nt hear much 'away' support was the fact that it was not very good. Typical scummers blaming the mics <laugh>
There were little bunches of ladies singing their own thing and not all together. That's what made the difference.
