Why? Admittedly, a sustained push to the top 6 would require major 'rich arab' style investment, but out of the others there is no reason we cant aim and succeed in being the best. Once that is attained then who knows.

To be totally honest, other than the 'big 6' the prem is full of some really quite ordinary sides. Sides who are very beatable and certainly not our betters. If Leeds get promoted, I really don't see them going anywhere near the top 6 without finding a mega rich benifactor. In my book that puts you in the same boat as us. The one thing we have done though is get into the prem. You need to do that before you can make it any further.

Calm down m8,didn't say it couldn't be done,just don't expect it.probably 15-16 clubs that generate a fair bit more income than you.you've already over performed,the players your buying [Howson]isn't top half level,he might help keep you up next season.Its normal for promoted teams to start well then drop off a bit.I think you will do this to finish around 15th-16th.Think next season will be very hard for you to = that.Thats just my oppinion m8,your a Norwich fan,you will believe the dream can happen,history says its not very likely but you never know.

carra-every season fans of every club,believe with a bit of luck a good signing etc their team can push on and do something special.Your no different! maybe slightly more deluded.:emoticon-0105-wink:[Burnley fans probably thought they were going Europe after beating man u first home game 2 seasons ago]Hull and Blackpool pulled off some big wins too.where are they all now.

Again, Burnley, Hull and Blackpool didn't have Paul Lambert.

<ok>

Sometimes, you just know intuitively when a thread has run it's course! <ok>

I don't think it David McNally will take much notice of what Ken Bates says to be honest. He is a class act as a chairman and if PL says he wants a certain player then they will try to go and get him at the best deal (as they see it) at that time.

You will notice that you read very little in the media about our management, they like to keep their thoughts and business affairs to themselves. Sadly Bates has always been an arrogant individual not unlike many successful businessmen.

The thing is this kind of statement might calm a few knuckle draggers but the majority are realising he's sucking the club dry and they'll not move forward without him.

I used to hate Leeds, but no longer, the fans are passionate and I see a bit of us in them. There's respect there I think. Even if we do both have our moments.

Think we all have our moments from time to time and I generally appreciate and respect other football team supporters views and opinions as at the end of the day we all give our money an our time (very willingly mostly) to support our clubs. Being from KL I have both a soft spot and rivalry for Norwich.

However, it is comments like that which are nice to hear. I've never been a fan of 'dirty' teams and the Leeds era that was so talented and dirty was before my time.

I wish Norwich City with Bradley, Jonny and soon to be Snoddy no doubt (sure you don't want Paul Connolly too?) the best of luck as they have a sound business model. :) [yes, Mr Bates, they have a model, not just a development arm]

all Leeds fans don't hate Bates we just him the best in his imminent retirement......

Thai,

I was talking about when we want a player from you :) I know it might come as a suprise but it is possible lol
