Bassong

Cerny - i would imagine that if we have Bassong then spuds may already have lined up cahill. Just wonder whether you know who is taking some of our out of favour players

Defoe and Bassong have been mentioned already in about every other paper!..whats the new story?....If I say every single player in the premiership might be joining us, then sooner or later one of them will!!...
 
also interesting on the day this story arrives is the news that harry is being done for tax evasion. one does wonder whether any allegdly "backhanders" have been done to ensure harry can pay off his fine.
 
I believe CernyBerny as he comes across as a genuine poster. The only reason Bassong didn't go in January is because G*llas was injured, as was King, Dawson had just undergone surgery for his injury and of course they didn't get Cahill in.

Defoe would be a good signing for you, I rate him a lot and have met him in person and he is a really nice guy, but obviously a lot hinges on the situation with Adebayor and VDV. You would assume Adebayor to Spurs is a done deal come July 1st, but if VDV were to get a serious injury from Now to January, it is unlikely Spurs would part with Defoe this coming window. <ok>
 
Cheers Cerny. Mouth watering prospects. If that happens, I think we can be as confident as you can be in the premier league (ie not very!) of staying there. What a diff Tony Fernandes has made. Those are just two names and Warnock is looking at four or five. Happy days indeed.

If you read what I have said I am talking about a completly different player "Safee Sali" is my guess and simply said that Defoe has been in the gossip press already; I tend to go on my gut feeling and I personally do noy see us buying Defoe as I do not see him adding too much to the squad we already have plus I ask myself "is he a Warnock type"? My answer is no.

If we go for Safee Sali he will not be a replacment for a proven striker but a speculative squad player but I think NW is more likely to go for an Anelka or this type of player.
 
Safee Sali would be a real coup for the sponsors BUT if he turns out to be a Vaagen Moen, his signature could well spell d-i-v-i-s-i-o-n between manager and Fernandes.

Sali wouldn't get a work permit as Malaysia is not in the top 70 FIFA ranked countries. Cardiff wanted to sign him but fell at that hurdle...
 
Still don't think we'll get defoe im reading how we are willing to pay 8mill but my question is how's crouch worth 12mill and the more prolific defoe only 8 mill but i hope im wrong and cerny is right. Bassong on the other hand will become a hoop by all accounts he already signed once only for spurs to pull out
 
Any possibility of getting Crouch on loan????

He doesn't seem to be fitting in to the preferred system at Stoke; is it possible and would he work in ours? Just a thought!

Not strictly true - you were getting stick when you were wrong but too pig headed to acknowledge it.

It's comments like the above one that lead to people giving you stick in the first place, you come across as a complete twat(no offence buddy :)).
