I told him to **** off because it was a stupid thing to say. He didn't even give an explanation or put any thought into what he said.
It boggles to mind why you would get rid of one of your best players. "he's a liability"...
I'm just sick of hearing that crap over and over, it's like the people who say it are just mindlessly spouting it, like a spam bot.
Everyone is equally entitled to an opinion as you are, you cant tell ppl to go away cos you dont agree with them.

I honestly cannot see him weighing up the two options of where he wants to spend his next season and opting for QPR over NUFC. The history he has with us, playing at SJP every other week and the relationship he has with the fans. He's already turned away speculation of playing for his boyhood club to stay here.

agree with this totally :L how is he a liability now? hes arguably our best player, has the most spirit yet hes a liability?

I'm sorry i said that to him, but i'm sick of seeing what he said in those exact words every ****ing day.
It's stupid. It's been proven that when Barton doesn't play, we play **** and can't win a game. I'm not saying that's the case now, but we cannot know for sure, so we should keep him for another season until the new players have a chance to get up to the speed.
It's ridiculous to even think about getting rid of him, especially for a free...

No, but right now you're one of these people who makes it worse with your "He's going!" talk. Just keep it level headed like the rest of us. I can see him going, but I'm going to watch how this all unfolds first.
Better to be playing for QPR even if its in the Championship next year, as opposed to not being payed at all by us from the end of the season onwards.
Its a sad state of affairs that the club is allowing it to make sense for players of his calibre to move to the likes of QPR though

I like how what's actually happened is QPR have asked us if they can speak to him and we've said yes, as we would have to any club. And then the media make it sound as though Barton has asked to speak to QPR.

Same was said about Nolan as well though mate and we seem to have soldiered on without him ok
He could get a very similar or better deal next year, it's just a matter of whether he wants to stay here for one more year or not. Could easily join a club of QPR's standard next summer.
