Can confirm Joey Barton is talking to #QPR.

Barton tweeted like twenty minutes ago something random and off the cuff about "looking indie". He's got to London pretty quickly if he's already talking to them...

He's been took out of the squad completely. This 'foot' injury is nothing but an excuse. You still have him in the squad to travel down.

Dont you know anything about transfers? Modric wasn't in the Spurs squad either the other night.

Its a lovely afternoon here..........its amazing how much a denim jacket and shades make u feel indie!
 
He'll turn them down and everyone else outside top6 teams.
Reason being he can stay here knowing Pardew will play him, things can get resolved in a year and then he may sign an extension with us.
That failing he will leave next summer knowing he will be staying in the Prem whereas with QPR if he signed a 4/5year deal he could easily be back in the Championship where he never wishes to play again.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if you or I disagree with it. Why would you insult him personally? That's pretty low.

As for Barton, if he goes to QPR I will definitely lose all respect for the guy as some people have said already. All that harping on about loving Newcastle, only wanting to leave to further his career in European competition will have just been a load of old cobbler's.
 
If Pardew wants to be taken seriously as our manager now is the time to say to Ashley Barton is not going anywhere this season. If he leaves for free in the summer so be it. Our squad is small enough as it is, and we are allegedly not going to pay an extra 500k for Pieters. He is a full international FFS. Only us and Arsenal are coming out of the transfer window with a PROFIT!!!!!
