He is known for his talking but fair play to him for saying what we all feel. There are plenty tweeting rubbish.

Thank you Joey. Man enough to apologise
I for one believe you have given your all...

We have been mismanaged, we have had internal wars, we have been shafted by a previous manager...we have some bad eggs in the team...and we have been let down by the people above

But we are left with the best fans a team could have
And we have the future to look forward to I hope

'I feel what you feel' [but I do have 4 years on £70k a week to cushion the pain]

I've paid to see the last two games of the season and I intend to go. Integrity is my minimum requirement. I didn't see the West Ham game, but to the best of my recollection the fans have been amazingly supportive to this bunch this season. Our home form in the early part of the season was, in my view, at least partly down to us.

At £5k a week. He'll be off to the first Prem team to make him an offer (probably Watford if any) unless we make him manager.

I wonder about that. Joey's great when he's leading but he's not the type to fit in low down the pecking order. He may not be what a newly promoted and settled team wants to buy.

He might have to stay with us then, on vastly reduced dosh and in a brand new team. Do we really think Barton is the role model we want for young players?

His behaviour this season has improved (less of the red mist, just one red card that I remember) and no one can question his application. If there's been any problem in the dressing room this season, it doesn't stem from Joey - more our French speaking contingent is my guess

I was critical of him before but he gives it his all every game. I'd stick my neck out and say he's not good enough for the premiership though (speed and passing issues) and don't think anyone will come in for him, I'd be happy to keep him.

Traore, Taarabt?

You GUESS.

Imagine the great motivation for the player: going from 70 to 5k a week.....

Yeah you're right. Better just kick him out, rather than make him sad. I am paid a lot more than the national average, yet Barton has 'earned' about £14m from us over 4 years, including a year spent slagging us off fom France, multiple times what I will earn in my lifetime. I really couldn't give a **** about his motivation. I'll settle for £5k a week too.
