Barton's literally in the bottom three or four of all time managers - his record is terrible, therefore if the side get off to a poor start next season he could well be gone after ten or so games. I really hope, for the club's sake that Barton pulls something out of the bag, because this is his record since the 0-0 draw v Wimbledon...LLLLLWDLLLLL:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Thing is, Barton has planned a complete rebuild. Most occasions it will take 15 or more games for the players to settle in and gel together. So to me, it will be a poor or very slow start. If this is the case, 10 games in and we are struggling, what do we do? He should be gone now but im reading on twitter anf other places to give him 10 games next season but I predict 10 games into next season we would be struggling and then the same people will say the team needs more time blah blah blah.

Anyone know when the retained list is out?

Hopefully it’ll be the shortest list of all time if there’s any justice in this world!

If there's any justice, it will be written out in full, on the back of a postage stamp, with space left over! Just been reading about Man City's title win and how it was achieved. Can't see any reason why we can't emulate them next season - our stadium is nearly as good as theirs, our fan base is almost as large as theirs, our playing staff are **** hot, (well that's half correct), and with some smart recruitment over the Summer months (say about 22 players), I see no reason why we can't enjoy as much glory and success next year as they have. I know this idea may seem a little far fetched, but my psychiatrist says it's good to have dreams, and both my therapists keep telling me there is nothing wrong in fantasising, as long as I don't stop taking the medication!!

Mo Eisa and Ryan Broom have been transfer listed by Peterborough, didn't think Ryan was given a chance when he was here

James Clarke released by Walsall this Summer

Would take Broom back as he knows the club, is young and has come on in leaps and bounds since getting game time. Feel sorry for Broom. Got moved on and found Cheltenham, got sold to Peterborough then transfer listed as not good enough for championship! Poor kid somethings got to go right for him eventually.

Another delay to the case. Jury discharged as the video link to Hannover (coincidentally Bristol’s twin city) for Stendel’s evidence was playing up.

Frankly this whole thing is a bit of a waste of public money now. The alleged victim is no longer in the country, the case is the oldest on Sheffield Crown Court’s books and the most Barton will get for shoving someone is a fine and perhaps a community punishment.

And, of course, it won’t stop Barton from doing it again because he just can’t help himself.

Trial called off, they are trying to find out if a way can be found to bring Daniel Stendel to England to testify in person despite Covid restrictions

The trial's now been deferred until November 26. Surely that's too much of a distraction, right in the middle of the first half of the season. What a mess.

CJS do you believe in fairies as well, unfortunately I think we are lumbered JB, well just have to get behind the team and not the management

6 part documentary on JBs time at Fleetwood is starting next week, It will be on DAZN streaming service. Dont have the streaming service so I won't have to avoid watching it, it is being shown in 200 hundred countries so if Rovers get a mention at the end we might get some more foreign support

Barton's just appeared in court again following an incident which took place at a residential property in Kew, South West London, on 2 June. This time he's alleged to have hit a woman. Basically, this guy should not continue to be employed by the club. He's never going to learn, and the club will just keep being dragged through the mud.

2nd of June? Yet he is still employed with us. I can only think the club is waiting for the outcome of it before acting - not guilty until proven otherwise. But this is Joey Barton. He shouldn't have been employed in the first place. It was never going to turn out well. So now, if the club decides to let him go, that's more funds wasted to pay him off and his backroom staff who are stupid enough to follow him and we have a new squad who joined for Barton. So another wasted season ahead of us.

Didn't want at the outset even more convinced that he is the wrong man for the job, if he is guilty maybe the judge will do us a favour and give him a 2 / 3 year custodial sentence
There is a very short statement from the club on Bristol Rovers
The club is aware of the court hearing involving Manager Joey Barton Scheduled to take place on Monday 26th July
As there are legal proceedings pending the club is unable to make further comment at this current time
Further information on Bristol Live states that the incident to place at a residential property in Wimbledon on Wednesday June 2nd. The woman unnamed sustained a head injury the ambulance service did not attend. The hearing is at Wimbledon Magistrates court
