The club should have banned the players using twitter by now. From a NUFC perspective there is nothing good that can come from the players being on it.

Have to say that you lads are being made to look silly by all of this. It is clear that Barton is now unhappy and wants to leave. He is bad news to any dressing room when he is in this mood. Get shot ASAP or suffer the consquences.
It is a shame in many ways that it has come to this because he is a very good player but if he stays he will do more damage to the club than good on the pitch.

Not being funny but the problem is Ashley, the amount of players that Pardew wants to bring in keeps going down. Championship bound if we're not careful.
Will be very interesting (as well as disappointing) when he does actually leave, he will spill all then.
If Barton wanted to leave, do you think he would have any problem with coming out and openly saying it???? He wants to stay but clearly isn't happy with how things are being run.
Barton should not slag his employers off period.. but the old phrase 'smoke without fire' is ringing in my mind.
Proved he wanted to play for us last season by giving 110% in every game. He was behind almost every move we made and I'd have thought the club would have appreciated the fact that he was important to us. Should get a contract sorted asap.

I wish he would just tell us and get the fine for it or shut up about the whole thing! It's pointless coming out with comments like he is. Although I like reading his tweets, I would be more than happy if Newcastle banned the players from using twitter.
Don't think many would disagree with you. However, IMO he needs to stop being Mr Politician and concentrate on his football, otherwise I can see it having adverse effects on the team performance.
We can't afford to shed any players, least of all ones with his ability. He certainly does not want to leave though, he couldn't have made that any clearer to be honest. He like many others at the club are unhappy with the way the hierarcy do business. But I do think its getting blown out of all proportion. At the end of the day, come day 1, the players will just knuckle down and get on with the job in hand, playing football. Outsiders/journos would love a drama, but there just isn't one. And to be honest you'll only catch the odd bite with this material, couldn't see anyone getting wound up.
