I can't really see us scoring. Should have brought Thomas on instead of Austin. Or possibly Dozzell, to get some movement.
 
Austin needs a lot of service, why bring him on to replace a marginally more mobile player who also needs service when neither are getting any.

Unless there is a sea change in performances, the financial investment in Forest and the other chasing teams will see us out of the playoff positions.
 
Looked like a huge chance for Dykes from a Barbet cross. He missed the ball altogether.

I think this is wrong. Our team was good enough before the window. Barnsley didn't spend much.

Look, we were the dominant team who looked better generally. We just played too safe with our passing. Wouldn't take chances on punts forward. Passed back too often and took too long.

For me, Warburton should have been asking the team to try and split the defense up, make them work with some creative through passes.

The only through passes came from our defenders, and they wereawful.

And he got it wrong by playing 2 strikers in a game that needed us to outplay them in midfield.
 
That’s a terrible result and performance.
It’s been a good season without doubt but today is an absolutely crap result.
Quick to give you praise lads, but that’s a terrible team performance - you’ve nothing to be proud of today MW and team. Head the long way home with your heads down!

Not good enough. Let’s hope you don’t look back on this game and see these lost points as a turning point in the season.

We played a possession game. They played a counter attacking game. They were always going to have more shots from distance. Quite a few of their shots on target were tame shots. Nothing too difficult for our keeper, goal aside.
 
No disrespect to Barnsley but we should be turning these teams over, so disappointing & by the sounds of it so was our display, no Willock no threat
