Bardsley trying to make out that he was gonna give the money to charity that he was pictured lying pissed with. If I as Paulo I would say fair enough, pick which charity you want your 2 weeks wages you've been fined to go to.

If i remember correctly, all fines go to the foundation of light, so he is contributing to charity anyways. He should be happy!

Whether Bardsley/PDC are right or wrong is not the issue for me.
If someone is due an arse kicking then that's fair enough but I'm a great believer that disciplinary matters should be kept in house & dealt with in private.

How would any of us feel if the gaffer balled us out in front of the whole shop floor or office?
Because if my gaffer did that I'd have the ****ing union in like a shot.

Bad move going public with such matters imo & piss poor man management.
i dont agree i think what pdc has needed saying, they've been getting away with murder for far too long

Are you on another planet Dave ??? I dont want Mr Bardsley anywhere near my club again. He cleary breaches club rules in the most vulgar of ways (even PFA Clarke Carlisle concurs) then has the audacity to complain to the PFA before playing his ace card by pathetically trying to convince us all that he was going to give the money to charity....my a**e !!!! Furthermore he then gets his WAG to condemn our manager as a " drama queen ". Mate, Bardsley is needs to be given the boot asap.

Biffa,

no, I'm not on another planet mate. I was just remembering Bardsley being applauded on here not so long ago by many as always giving 100%/should be club captain/vastly improved/player of the season/etc. So I was questioning whether it wasn't too late for Bardsley to apologise and to knuckle down again.

Mind you, I didn't know the stuff about his WAG, the PFA and this charity bollocks.

Who do we back in the argument of Paolo and players?

I'm coming down firmly with Paolo. I cannot see Bardsley's argument at all. Claims he was fully entitled to get wrecked and was giving the money to charity (easy to say in hindsight and when you are loaded)

I think Paolo has chosen his target wisely. Senior member of the team but with little shelf life left. Is Bardsley going to be backed by the fans? Not by me.

Paolo has timed his argument correctly. He has a fully transfer window and pre season to win it and win it he must.

If Paolo loses this and the players revolt Paolo will be a dead man walking come the start of the season. These players have been hopeless under a lax regime imagine if they try even less. I wouldn't put every player under that class but certainly a few.

Paolo has 2 months to win the players over and get in players who will follow him.

Good luck Paolo.

Why was he (or any of the others ) entitled ? It was Arsenal kept us up , not him. More likely celebrating another year of being able to lie around on nightclub floors pissed and covered in £50 notes. Unfortunately for him Mr. di Canio doesn`t seem to share this attitude.........tough **** then.

We, the fans needed to hear this, just as much as the players.

For too long we have been left wondering why we have been performing like ****e and have lost two managers because they wouldn't say to us what was really going on.

All of the money that we fans put into the club, whether you have had a season ticket all of your life, or whether you only get to one game a season, or you buy a replica shirt. We have a right to know why our players are behaving like knob heads. We have a right to expect a certain amount of professionalism, especially if we are in dire straights like we have been this season. If they want to cry over getting fined a couple of weeks wages then let them, but now they have been found out that they don't care a jot about the shirt, the club or the fans then they can go take a running jump. They have made enough to retire now, so they are more than welcome to it. Their lives will go the same way as all those other mercenaries who pissed away their fortune.

They don't care about us, so we wont care about them. Get them out of our club and get some people in who will fight for the shirt. Some people who will allow us, the fans to live our dreams of pulling on the red and white shirt through them.

We are Sunderland. And we will be around a lot longer than anyone else.

If Bards had done broken club rules in a private fashion, then PDC would have kept it private. He hasnt named any of the players who failed to sign the fans shirts, and he didnt name the player who left the training ground with "food poisoning".

Bardo and Killa made this a public issue by taking pics and posting them on twitter/facebook. If the stupid twats hadnt put the pics online (or taken them in the 1st place) then Di Canio wouldnt have had such an issue with it.

No way (and no need) for PDC to keep it private when the journalists already know who the players are and they have already been named in the press imo.

Bardsley did the wrong thing. The public will judge him by the pictures we all saw. My issue is the way PDC is going public with this. If we are to attract any top players in the future, these players will look at this and think, the first time they slip up, or do something they shouldn't..how will he react. Not the worlds best man management in my opinion. But time will tell. For the record, I would rid our club of the likes of Barsdley...we are going nowhere with that kind of player with that attitude.

I dont believe it wad pdc who went public with it as it was all over twitter and in the sunday morning papers. all pdc did was answer questions off the reporters in a post match interview and he had every right to wxplain why bardo and kilgallon were not in the squad and personally pdc is 100% right in what he did. when he 1st came he laid down his rules so the players are aware of them so if tgey decide to break them then they have to face the consequences!!. Pdc also said he beliebes everyone should get a 2nd chance so if bardo picks up his pet lip and bucks his ideas up who is to say he wont get another chance to prove himself and personally i agreed with pdc that the players are role models to not only academy players but young kids who gollow safc and they should know thatkids will think its ok to go on like idiots!!

Last game of the season was coming up, we needed to see spirit and unity, PDC needed commitment and professionalism and the long-suffering travelling supporters, who have trooped up and down the country over this season to watch utter dross, needed passion, flair and 3-points.
What did Bardsley and Kilgallon give us? total embarrassment. They showed that they could not give a toss what anybody thought and the Fekin W**kers have let down all associated with SAFC; whether they realised it or not, they have undermined PDCs authority. GET RID

thank god the unions are ****ed then

After all of the loyal service over the years and 100% effort Bardsley has given this club. Does he deserved to be villified like this for one error of judgement.

I don't think he does.

Spot on Dan !!!! And thats the very issue we are all forgeting here....its Bardsley and Killa that brought this issue into the public forum not PDC....

You must have forgot his player of the season year?

Or when everybody was singing his praises because he is one of the very select few of recent times that gives his all on the pitch, no matter what.

I do remember his player of the season year. He was the least **** player we had.

And as for everyone else, I've always recognised that he is a very limited player. He has been stealing a living from our club. He needs to be gone and replaced with someone who gives a damn OFF the field as well as on it.

Yeah and hes done precious little since. This is not the time to be sentamental, this man has brought shame on our club and demonstrated nothing but contempt for our fans, many of us who have to work bloody hard to pay for our season tickets, travel, kits etc. Nothing has p***ed me off more than this, it was feckin obscene especially in a region where folk are struggling to put food on the table. Good bloody riddence !!

i have to agree that it wasnt di canio that made it public. bardsley and killa knew what kind of manager he is but were still daft enoungh to post the picture. they put it in the public domanin so its down to them to deal with the fallout

I also think Di Canio should not have went public on the matter either, but of course, that's just my opinion.

Bardsley put this in the public domain.......PDC was asked he responded........yes he could have said it would be dealt with internally, however it would have come out - probably via the PFA or Bardsley's squeeze so PDC told it like how it is.

Flanders - top players do not carry on like Bardsley, there were a group of players out and they left before 12 - no problems with PDC over these players, just the idiots who drew attention to themselves.

Its always the English players who do this, have you noticed?

I believe that our club needs to build a reputation for being a club that takes no **** and therefore on this occasion I fully support the public dressing down of piss poor 'player power' mentality.

Bardsley can **** off for all I care. We as fans deserve better than 17th position and we won't ever have much opportunity to become a true force in this league if we allow piss poor players like Bardsley to challenge our managers philosophy that is underpinned by the desire to install high standards of professionalism.

Cheers for a few goals Bardsley, you've made your mistake in challenging the manager, now go and give your agent a ring and find yourself a new club. Tata.
