Who do we back in the argument of Paolo and players?

I'm coming down firmly with Paolo. I cannot see Bardsley's argument at all. Claims he was fully entitled to get wrecked and was giving the money to charity (easy to say in hindsight and when you are loaded)

I think Paolo has chosen his target wisely. Senior member of the team but with little shelf life left. Is Bardsley going to be backed by the fans? Not by me.

Paolo has timed his argument correctly. He has a fully transfer window and pre season to win it and win it he must.

If Paolo loses this and the players revolt Paolo will be a dead man walking come the start of the season. These players have been hopeless under a lax regime imagine if they try even less. I wouldn't put every player under that class but certainly a few.

Paolo has 2 months to win the players over and get in players who will follow him.

    Good luck Paolo.

Agree with Paolo to an extent

However the team can't argue that they are fit or professional…compared to other clubs our players lack discipline

Rarely hear of other clubs problems with drinking etc whereas our players are known to be major drinkers and mess about

Whilst Paolo may need to tone it down a bit, he certainly knows what is needed

Fully support Paolo, this is going to be a very good summer. Players with ****e attitudes will be gone. We will end up with a squad of players who will work hard for the team.

    Bardsley has shown himself up.

    Cannot it be both?

PDC has said he will give players a chance.

So ... Bardsley admits he was a total arsehole. Apologises. Points out discreetly to PDC that he has been a fans' favourite in the past for his hard work. Resolves to stop being a ****er.

To be fair Paolo didn't make this public, Bardo did when he posed for those pictures. It warranted a public response as Paolo will have been questioned about it. Someone needs to be a role model and say this behaviour is completely our of order and not what football should be about. I back Paolo to the hilt. Player exodus? couldn't give a ****, we've had two managers who've shirked responsibility regarding player discipline and now we've got a squad littered with arrogant bellends. I want a team chiseled out of stone not a team that aren't pulling their weight enough to work off their beer calories. If they don't like it they can **** off. It's our club, if they treat it with some respect then they might get some back. Rant over.

Are you on another planet Dave ??? I dont want Mr Bardsley anywhere near my club again. He cleary breaches club rules in the most vulgar of ways (even PFA Clarke Carlisle concurs) then has the audacity to complain to the PFA before playing his ace card by pathetically trying to convince us all that he was going to give the money to charity....my a**e !!!! Furthermore he then gets his WAG to condemn our manager as a " drama queen ". Mate, Bardsley is needs to be given the boot asap. Whilst I fully appreciate Cests thread about the impact all this might have on offloading and getting new players in, I dont think we have anything to worry about mosy senior pros in the squad are coming out and backing PDC ( check out A J,s comments in todays press). Nope the only ones moaning are the deadwood and we,l soon be shot of them

Bardsley did the wrong thing. The public will judge him by the pictures we all saw. My issue is the way PDC is going public with this. If we are to attract any top players in the future, these players will look at this and think, the first time they slip up, or do something they shouldn't..how will he react. Not the worlds best man management in my opinion. But time will tell. For the record, I would rid our club of the likes of Barsdley...we are going nowhere with that kind of player with that attitude.

We do have a lot of British players which probably creates a drinking culture.
Let's buy loads of Italian, they may be good looking & steal our wives but they will be athletes.

With PDC on this one. All the players involved can **** off out of OUR club. They have been awful all season and have put us fans through the ringer.

When you have players like AJ coming out in support of PDC and dross like bardsley and killgallon whining like little bitches its easy to pick which side you come down on.

If Bramble, Bardsley etc are on the money they are reportedly on then they are stealing a living. Good Riddance and Haway the Lads

I'm sure I've heard of players contracts being cancelled for what we will get back off most of them why not that route? Backing PDC on this he is doing it by the book and, if the players aren't professional enough to leave their gripes in the changing room and put 100% into the game then **** them. Players have came to us and probably the barcodes as an easy ride for easy money this has to stop if we are to see any progression at SAFC.

I doubt Bardsley's GF did that cos Bards asked her to, especially as her tweets were deleted later.

While Bardo needs to be made an example, just going out on the lash hardly merits "not near our club ever again". He hasnt assaulted anyone, tried to put a team-mates eye out or anything like that. Now, if he challenges PDC on this and gets the PFA involved and is then found to be compleatly in the wrong then its Di Canio's choiceto get rid if he wants to.

If Bardo had kept quiet for a few days then gone to speak with Di Canio, I'm sure it would have been sorted out. However, if he has now challenged PDC's authority by going to the PFA, then he deserves whatever Canio throws at him

Bardsley's goal celebration against Southampton was disrespectful to all of us paying fans, I didn't see him cupping his ears when he put his cross into the north stand ten minutes before his goal or when he pumped a couple of long balls into the south stand in the first half.

He's ****e and should never play for our club again.

My worry is that the players these days are very litigious, agents involved and employment laws could make this really tricky for Paolo. As we have already seen, they have been fined and given a kick up the arse and despite being in the wrong off the go whining to PFA they'll have agents in their ears. Do they even respect who is there manager???

Again I have to state I think Paolo is right. He was always going to have this battle. This is the best time to do it.

I don't think its a respect to the manager issue, but a respect to the club.

In an interview with Frank Lampard on footy focus they asked about managers coming and going and he stated it was his love & commitment to the club that was important & the reason for him staying. When do you ever hear a safc player say this?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Bardsley our longest serving player? Quite sad.

Bardsley trying to make out that he was gonna give the money to charity that he was pictured lying pissed with. If I as Paulo I would say fair enough, pick which charity you want your 2 weeks wages you've been fined to go to.

Whether Bardsley/PDC are right or wrong is not the issue for me.
If someone is due an arse kicking then that's fair enough but I'm a great believer that disciplinary matters should be kept in house & dealt with in private.

How would any of us feel if the gaffer balled us out in front of the whole shop floor or office?
Because if my gaffer did that I'd have the ****ing union in like a shot.

Bad move going public with such matters imo & piss poor man management.
