I think i must be weird
I havent listened to any music in days

Not a big music fan also - it's something that's a soundtrack to life, on in the background, rather than something that I'll sit, or stand, and specifically take time to listen to. Everyone's different. If we all liked and did the same thing, it would be a small world.

Do many people sit and just listen to music any more? Not saying it's a bad idea but I think in today's world probably not many people find the time and peace to do that?

Problem is
People cant sit in silence anymore
Attention spans are proven to be massively short with constant dopamine
Doom scrolling and having music on at all times

I do,every day.

Micro CD system in the living room,Dining room and a DAB radio beside my bed.I've got thousands of CD's from ABBA to ZZ TOP,so many in fact that it took me 2 days last week to put them all back into alphabetical order.I take them out to play and leave them lying around all over the place...Her indoors has barked strict instruction that it doesn't happen again.

This year on youtube I got recommended Band Maid, a five piece all Japanese women's band. They've been going for around eleven years now and they're a really tight, exceptionally talented group. They've got a large song list in that time, around 120 songs and to be honest the ones i've heard so far are fantastic.
I highly recommend 'em, even if it just turns out to be for one song. They're not a manufactured group, they formed the band themselves after one of them worked in a Maids Cafe that the have over there in Japan, hence their name. The first time seeing them in their maids outfits you don't realise what hard rock music you're gonna get.
Five piece all women? Really tight? Are you sure it wasn't some obscure porn site.
Stick to white chicks love black dicks in future. You can't beat the classics.

The first album by The Clash is unbelievable. It is now 47 years old but still sounds superb.
Never mind the bollocks by the pistols was also miles ahead of its time.
Both gritty, raw albums(more so the Clash),took up very little time in the studio.Essentially live cuts with a bit of overdub and a few effects.

I did a bit of studio production some years ago and got some free studio time to boot. It's all computerised these days courtesy of 'Pro Tools' software,an industry recognised recording set up that can create a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

If you heard some of this **** before it were doctored,it would open your eyes to some of these millionaires and billionaires nowadays who think they are musicians!

Wait till you retire - I find time for al kinds of music, from opera and classical to rock, blues and grunge, I like an audio book too; we all need time to chill a little. Life without music in it would be a sad, soulless one.

I listen to a combination of vinyl and Spotify daily.
It helps to dull the pain of City and FC.

Two days is some going, mind you not so impressive when you factor in the forty seven hours to learn the alphabet. :emoticon-0138-think

Huh?
You’d be weird not to listen to music everyday

Listening to an album/cd is far preferable to a **** playlist.

An album is a piece of artistic work & should be listened to in it’s entirety.

I choose music to listen to based on time available. Journey to work 45mins - choose music accordingly, etc.
^ This

(the exception that proves the rule is Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers. Brown Sugar, the opening track, is ****e so I skip that every time and listen to the rest as a full album, which is brilliant)

As you like Band Maid have you checked out Lovebites.? Another all female metal band from Japan. Miyaki on guitar is one of the best you will hear and is also a classical pianist. Haruna on drums is a force of nature. Check out the Chopin Etude / Swansong live video to get a taste.
I have seen their name and been meaning to give 'em a try and then get wrapped up in Band Maid again. Now you've recommended 'em i'll definitely give 'em a try.
For Band Maid try Freedom, Domination, Hate?,Onset. You could pretty much pick any and you won't be disappointed.
Drums...Akane.
Rhythm Guitar and back up singer.....Miku.
Lead Guitar....Kanami.
Bass.....Miso.
Singer....Saiko

Shame on the singer's parents for naming their daughter after a Hitchcock movie !

Just like my dad, still got all his collection. Don’t even have a CD player but can’t bring myself to throw them away.

Depends very much on the album. A lot of albums have a couple of bangers nestled amongst a load of filler. Singles are released as singles before an album ever gets announced, in fact there’s a growing number of artists no longer bothering with albums at all.

There is an unbelievable level of skill, knowledge and time required to produce good sounding stuff. I honestly believe it’s much easier to pick up an instrument and play, at least for those who are able.

AI may well swing that bat the other way over the coming years.
