If anyone hasn't yet seen a nail hit squarely on the head this season, here's a strong contender (imo) for 'comment du saison!'Every time I giggle over the money we got for Grabban, it's tempered by having paid out the same for the useless Naismith.

Hardly safe due to him...he's scored 4 goals!

Isn't that one less than our season's top scorer ?![]()
A £7.5m fine for spending too much money, you couldn't make it up.
This is pretty accurate and mainly because we are not as good as at least 16 sides in this league.Let's be realistic chaps I know our strikers have not exactly been lethal this season but realistically how many decent chances do we create? We have scored remarkably few goals where we have had a forward through one on one with a keeper or where a cross has gone over and someone has thumped it in from inside the six yard box. It may just be my perception but we seem to have a scored a proportionately high number of goals from range this season. I don't know if we have a shoot from distance policy which means we take more shots per game but each with a lower chance of success but regardless we do not seem to be able to knock in what I would consider to be bread and butter goals.
As we are generally playing stronger opposition I am sure that this is a factor but even when we are playing the teams around us we just don't seem capable of getting the ball to our forwards where they are in such a position that a goal is a more rather than less likely consequence.
People moan on here that we don't get many penalties and they are right -we don't but the fact that we very rarely seem to have the ball in the opposition box must also be a factor,
I know that we need at least one clinical finisher before next season but I think that a huge amount of our problem is actually creating the chances in the first place.

The sickener for me is that when we have a good go and score a few goals our defence let's us down or Ruddy or Ruddo just gift goals with spectacular **** ups.
When Klose came in we just started to look solid and play with confidence but since Bassong came back we are back to Keystone cops, although against Arsenal they did OK.
It may be my padded room and special jacket but I still have faith we will beat Man United .
SN23 is a member of the flat Earth society obviously. Though, if he had said the same thing just before we went to Old Trafford my response would probably have been the same. But the theory is that lightning does not strike twice, though once was at OT, this time atCR.
To be fair Norfolk is pretty ****ing flat .I did bump into one of the glass domes coming into Dubai airport but we all ignored it.
Not impressed with what I've seen from Bamford. I don't think he's Premiership level yet. I wouldn't want to see him start.
I'm not sure Vadis or Bamford have ever been given a proper chance to show if they can hack it.Bamford, Naismith, Dorrens, Mulumbu, Ofoe, Hooper, Lafferty, Grabben or (Grab-barn) as he apparently likes to be called now! the list goes on.........Failed to make an impact.
Yep! Naismith is the only one I was excited by. And I think he has done well. It's just all the fans who thought we bought him for goals, for some reason. he can score.
He didn't fluke his hattrick against Chelsea. He needs some supply.?????????
