Fully agree with this, it'd be a good start to replace the old codger that's responsible for them as he's obviously either totally clueless or well past his sell by dateI can't remember what game it was but I remember McGregor getting annoyed at a ball boy taking his time, doing the shuffled run with their hands in their pockets which is barely faster than walking pace. Too bothered about looking cool, they need some training in to how to read the game and they need to be on their feet and half way to the ball before it goes out, especially if we've got the momentum. Just like the crowd getting behind the team, if everyones working for the good of the team on and off the pitch that can surely only help.
He'll go to Everton to replace BarryAvailable on a free transfer at the end of the season...
If it's the one I'm thinking of it came back very quickly and definitely went into the QPR fans (only by about 10 seats or so) someone sat near me in E4 said if that came in here it wouldn't have come back that quickly. It was from the city section of the east stand.
However the quick thinking ball boy throws the new ball (they were playing multiple balls at the time I think) to a Villa player straight away...
New to the forum -Did anybody else notice there was four ball boys sat behind the North stand goal (sat in two pairs) but none sat behind the South stand goal.
Particulary frustrating when second half Green was taking ages to take his goal kicks and free kicks on the offsides. It took 30 minutes of the second half for the guy in charge of the ball boys to change it (but weirdly walked all the way around the pitch?).
Somebody in the stand were trying to tell him to change it quicker but he just basically told the to ssh which was ridiculous considering they weren't criticising or complaint - just suggesting two from the North were moved to the South to hurry Green up.
Why don't we utilise ball boys effectively? Who's the old guy who's in charge of the sshing the crowd?
new to forum - I sit in e7 and could nt help myself Saturday but had to shout at the guy who looks after the ball boys. In my opinion the ball boys are a part of the team are they not ? They can control the tempo of the game . So why are they not taught as part of the team . Winning slow the game down , losing or chasing the game get the ball back as quickly as poss - simple strategy or not ??If it's the one I'm thinking of it came back very quickly and definitely went into the QPR fans (only by about 10 seats or so) someone sat near me in E4 said if that came in here it wouldn't have come back that quickly.
I think I yelled at him a couple of times on Saturday, once telling him to get his hands out of his pockets...I'm assuming that was the 'little ****er' in front of me in E6, and if so I can confirm his total ****erishness. Never have I seen such shiote ball boys, wtf's going on City?
It was a Villa player warming up that passed it to him and it was the same ball that had just gone out, but otherwise, well remembered!
Early onset alzheimers to blame...get rid of those plastic chairs the ball boys sit on and we could do the same. That goal screwed us that game...

And as for the crowd throwing the ball back , north west corner 93mins QPR get a corner the ball was thrown directly to the player taking the corner !!! I know where I'd have sent it !!
Could someone who is invited bring it up at the next fan meeting with the club?
This can be quickly solved i'd imagine with a little planning and some motivation from the club.
Most of the ball boys are academy boys right? If they're lazy now they'll make poor players in the future.
That could be a use for the rest of our squad, get them jogging laps around the outside of the pitch, throwing back any balls that come their way. Keeps them fit and improves our ball
yes, you must . I sawyour post and thought I had to sign up and reply . It was my brother and me ! I tend to get a little passionate to say the least ! But when the old fellow told me to shhh ?? I was ripping my hair out second half ! No ball boys south stand end could have cost us 5 minutes and a win . As luck was on Saturday we did it within the 90 mins . Tell me to sit down next week against Sunderland so I know who you are .I must sit two rows behind you then as I saw you (plus the person next to you?) shout to get the ball boys moved and he waved his hand at you to simmer down?

Or care what score it is.Remember the you

Whether he heard me as I sit in the upper echelons of E7 is anyone's guess.
