Ronaldo was a better player who'd scored a lot more goals though NSIS. 60mill as it stands would be good money. Although if we keep him for 2 more years and he carries on at this rate... We could be looking at more than 80m by the time levy gets involved with his negotiation tactics! <laugh>
 
The fact that he's Welsh should add a few hundred million to his price. Less chance of being called away for international duty, less chance of being injured on international duty, direct line to Imogen Thomas... the list goes on.

I'm not sure that Ronaldo was a better player. He played with a better team, yes...apart from that, I think Bale is every bit as good at the same age.

maybe "better" was the wrong use of word. But Ronaldo had shown consistency and a lot of goals throughout a whole season, for at least 2 seasons.

I think the difference is that Ronaldo has always seemed to have supreme self-confidence, something that Bale hasn't always seemed to possess. I think that is gradually changing though. Bale is becoming more and more aware of just what he's capable of!..

What kind of rubbish statement is that?? RVP's goals WON you matches, whats the point of 6-1 wins against relegation fodder, followed by 2 losses. What an idiot you are, no wonder other goons hate you, you're a buffoon. Scored more goals, but lost more matches!....jeezus sake! <doh>
 
Can we just ban piskie please? I started reading the thread but he just ruined it like he does with most the others with his piss poor wumming. After 3 of his posts I gave up, as I'm sure a lot of good posters did
