Mixed feelings. Would it be better to get a draw and win it at home? But then Spurs could drop points against United and we'd be denied that opportunity anyway. We also want to avoid drawing the next 2 and taking it to the last day. So, I guess win it Friday all things considered
Stan, can you see us picking up 3 points of the remaining 3 games? I'm not sure of your pessimism over the season has been our good luck charm. I for one don't wear a Chelsea shirt on game days now as every time I do, we seem to lose! Anyone else have any odd superstitions?
The Trophy presentation will be at our ground on the last day anyway, so not fussed if we wrap it up at the Hawthorns. Best to get it over and done with. Only 3 draws is pretty weird for a season. We did the same thing in 1998 if I recall, only our record that season was W20 D3 L15 We lost 15 games and finished 4th Nowadays that would have earnt us a Champions League spot. Bolton lost 16 games that season I think, and got relegated
Blue, I do. The reason, our guys are under less pressure after West Ham win. So 3 points away at Hawthorns isn't too difficult. Having said that TP will be out to poop in our party as usual. But I see our boys taking care of business up there.
Chelsea supporters pubs in Sydney and Melbourne open at 4.30 am, kick off at 5 am. Full house in both. Should be a quiet, civilised affair!!
Apart from the first games of the season when Man City sprinted out of the blocks, this has been Chelsea's year, playing powerful, bright, attractive football. I'm sure it will be all done and dusted tonight.
Might have to wait until next week at this rate - last chance saloon in this one we need a sub or a miracle.
