But he also took Chelsea to the Champs League Final which they only lost on penalties from a John Terry slip... they also won the league under Avram Grant with a better record than Mourinho had.

He'd be a good option if he stayed out of that brothel down Anlaby Road after home games ;)

Yes, people of any religion can't get on with people from any country. That's why we have countries where nationals live and countries where only religious people without state live. <doh>

You're right, I checked that AFTER I posted haha! I remember they had a better record than Mourinho that year though because that's when it went to the last day. Still, Grant was good with Chelsea. He was shown the door because of the style of play he had infused into the side. It was Pearson-esque, focusing on a sturdy back line.

Barmby's style was more attacking but higher risk. When it didn't go right we looked pretty hopeless... it cost us a playoff place in the end. I'd probably welcome Grant but after his West Ham record who knows if he's still got it?

Why do people use non-football issues to decide who they would prefer as our football club's manager.
So far we've heard that he's dull, he's the wrong religion, he sleeps with prozzies.
On the other hand his credentials were good enough to get him the job at Chelsea that almost every manager in the world would have snapped up and he did a very good job there.
So if he was good enough for one of the top jobs in football why exactly is he under-qualified for Hull City?

Again, I flatly refuse to accept this. I'm sure people base their opinions on our style on the premise that Nick was a flair playert and Pearson defensive. IMO we were much more attacking under Nigel last season than we were under Nick.

Whats bigoted about pointing out the bleeding obvious? please withdraw that comment cos its not true...If you believe its not an issue well fair enough, then they will appoint him and I will be wrong ..the fact he makes pearson seem like the life and soul of the party won't matter <laugh>

You can see how this might be fairly dull reading though ? On a football forum that is ?
