He is Levy's bright blue boy, he can't afford to sack him, money wise and for his ego .
Give the guy a bloody chance, for ****'s sake.

What I was trying to say PNP but you put it much more politely,![]()

I'm sorry, but people talking about him being sacked are being ludicrous.
This is off the back of one loss, following on from four consecutive wins.
We lost King, Modric and van der Vaart in the summer, Parker, Kaboul and Assou-Ekotto have managed two games between them and we had several protracted transfer sagas.
We're 5th on goal difference, above Arsenal and Liverpool and we've progressed in the Europa, yet some people want to see the back of our manager before Christmas? Ridiculous.
Give the guy a bloody chance, for ****'s sake.

Christ,I didn't say that I wanted him out but what I'm saying is that Levy might start to get concerned if this sort of form continues. Yes we are 5th but ffs have thrown away being much higher haven't we? The football isn't great as you've all admitted. Losing from winning positions isn't something that Levy will tolerate for long.
Statistically, Spurs are 3-4 points behind the 29-30 points average needed for a total of 70 (your average over the past few seasons). So the late goals at Everton are the difference between AVB maintaining the standards set by 'Arry and not, at this stage. Or put another way, rather than two draws and six defeats so far, he needed six draws and two defeats. That last stat is perhaps the crux of the problem. Spurs are not hanging on to take something out of games, even if it's just a point. 25 goals conceded already is the most obvious reason why. With or without Modric and vdV, there's not much wrong with Spurs front six. Parker's absence is a big loss though and a commanding defender who organises the back four is essential. City are nowhere near as solid without Kompany, Utd are badly missing a fit Vidic, Chelsea have capitulated without Terry...Vertonghen in the centre should be a must, IMHO.
I am still trying to get my heard around what was in Walkers mind in attempting that back pass in the first place.
