Bit of useless information here.....my dad would have been 121 yrs old today....just realized it was the 26th today....strange how the mind works at times.

So no sign of Argyle being in the free player market.....maybe they can't afford the wages necessary to get the one player they would like.

Why would we be? We already have a 1st team squad of 32 players, including youngsters. We don't have a team in a reserve league, so keeping that lot happy is enough to be going on with.

Having seen several games live and on TV, the task is clearly to deliver results from the performances we're already putting in not to add yet more bodies.

He’s not really playing a 10. Most recently it’s been a 4 (with both FB’s getting forward) : 1 : 2 : 3.

It all gets more complicated each season…..

Pep Guardiola says his best team would be 1 goalkeeper and 10 midfielders..,…

Rooney sitting in the Man U stands yesterday......with the thrashing Spurs gave them ....they might of been tempted to offer him the job ?

what an amazing result.. he has a few days off as he will travel to Burnley tomororw from his northern home.. hope he brings home the points ..

I just updated the Argyle app on my tablet and see that we’ve signed 33yo striker Andre Gray as a free agent.

Brentford - Championship
Burnley - Championship and EPL
Watford - “top flight”
QPR - Championship

13 caps for Jamaica.

Interesting short term signing until January....not played since May so maybe not up to speed at present.....last played for Al-Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.

Taking a quick look at his record, from the 2014-15 season to 2021-22, Andre Gray played exclusively in either the Championship or the Premier League, with four seasons being at the higher level for Burnley and Watford. In his English league career, he's averaged better than a goal in every three games.

Good experience if he's fit enough.

Michael Cooper has played 7 games for Sheffield U and has only one goal against him so far....six clean sheets the best in the league.

The question is did United get a bargain at £2 million plus another £2 million in add ons......I think they did...his knee injuries allowed doubt to enter regarding his true value.

There’s more to a clean sheet than just the keeper of course but they got a very good player for that money.

Whether it’s the best move he could have made remains to be seen.

I think Sheff U will be one of the auto teams this season and we will get another payday from Cooper. When he plays in the Prem it will then prove one way or another whether we were right or wrong in our opinion of him. I for one though am happy witgh Grimshaw who for me is more than adequate as a replacement.
