I have a mate at work whose 5 year old granddaughter attends a mixed race school in Sunderland..She asked if she could play with a group of young Asian girls during play time, and they replied that they are nor permitted to play with Christians...It is this form of brainwashing of children that I fear will lead to a lot of trouble in the future..
Do they intend to return to the UK? I'd put a deterrent on them, anybody attempting to come back from this area suspected of being terrorism-trained (all of them), will be stripped and cavity searched until their lungs fall out. See if any fancy their chances then.

Four years sounds soft I know, in saying that people 'can' change. The carnt over here should get life for sure but the youngins getting mixed up over there &return should Atleast get 10 & rehabilitated. It's hard cause if your a young fella then your easily persuaded, but if you have half a heart you'll rectify mistakes in your life
'Can' being the operative word fella.
I'd need guarantees that they'd be rehabilitated. All they'd do after release is reintegrate with the people who surrounded them prior to their arrest, and they'd soon have their rehabilitation shaken out of them.
Radical extremism needs to be punishable by deportation if they're not born British, if they're born British then unfortunately it's time to dig a hole and send them for a dirt nap.

Two years and he will be rehabilitated Terry, you only serve two years in custody on a four year sentence
