I'd go along with that even though I think City haven't been properly tested - mentally I think Athletico game is ideal preparation for Saturday's match.
A good result here could be the difference between Real Madrid in the last 16 or Spartak Moscow for example.
Definitely wouldn't be resting players for this, worry about City when we get to it.

Not going to try and pick the bones out of this one, though I could easily write 10 pages on this fantastic performance. Step forward Marcos Alonso absolutely fantastic display, showed Moses how play wing back. Never thought I'd be writing this after a stella performance from Hazard Conte and Morata.
Wonderful play all game, we ran the game for most of the time and kept a very dangerous side from scoring from open play. To cap it off we found a way through one of the better defensive sides for the winning goal. All credit to entire team, though Moses was off with some of his passing, he still put in pretty well. Alonso was well covered by Cahill tonight and played a major role. Wonderful CL game, different class to the often kick ,bollock scramble of the PL. Really good players can show their stuff at this level.
